Hi all, appreciated your help last time with authentication.
Here is another - I am looking to purchase and I don't like the looks of the leather
on this navy bag so I asked the seller to post photo of the creed and I don't like the look of it either. It almost looks like fake leather the way the finish is.
Seller name: bunchajunk79
Site: Ebay

Here's a link to the actual listing

The middle one (serial number H4B-0516) is fake and the last creed is absolutely no help at all. (The Dooney appears to be okay.)

In this case the seller's ID is absolutely accurate.

The navy one is fake - the serial number and style number would belong ONLY to an item from Coach's Business and Travel line like a briefcase, backpack, waist pouch, etc., never to a purse. If you check my Fakes List posted here at tPF, or Daria48's Fakes List posted at Ebay you'll find the same number in both lists:

DARIA'S GUIDE:

http://www.ebay.com/gds/fake-serial-numbers-and-counterfeit-coach-bags/10000000002744619/g.html

These numbers on PURSES are always fake (purses with style numbers beginning with 98xx or 99xx are usually genuine).

H4B-0516

H4B-0678

H4B-0517

H4B-0520

H4B-0532

HRB-0516

(The H4B-05xx sequence belonged to travel and business bags and briefcases, not handbags)

Please report the navy fake with the H4B-0516 number. And please save the links to both Fakes Lists and refer to them before buying or bidding. Save the Salearea Coach Guides too:

Item: stewardess bag in black
Seller: goodwill
Item number and link: na
Comments: found this at goodwill and everything seems to match up but a for sure authentication would be great! I'm not super great with the more classic styles. I apologize for the creed pictures. It is cloudy today and I couldn't get the best shot. Thanks in advance.

The stewardess looks fine.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Can it be reported as fake?
It can probably be reported as KWS because it's not a "Coach keychain" and shouldn't be listed as such.

It can also be reported as a prohibited accessories policy violation. That policy is for things like tissue, boxes, hangtags, ribbon, etc.; items that aren't sold as free-standing items and are considered to be "items that encourage infringement." (Fake sellers often use genuine props to "prove" auhtenticity of their fakes.)

Here's the prohibited accessories policy:

Hi - I saw that listing. It's obviously a home made key chain that is made up of (they look authentic to me) Coach hang tags and some Murano beads. Maybe they should just change the wording "collection of Coach hang tags"
People do sell the hang tags alone on ebay - I've bought them when I needed to.
Since the seller is not selling fake items why would you want to report it? just curious.
There are SOOOOO many fake bags that need reporting.

Because it is deceptive. Buyers might assume that Coach actually made the keychain. In fact, I believe that is what the seller wants to make people think. She put a Coach bag in the picture. If the seller had said "I put a bunch of Coach hangtags on a chain and attached it to a keyring" it wouldn't bother me at all.

The seller's title calls it "COACH HANGTAG KEYCHAIN" and as such, the implication is that it's a keychain made by Coach. It can be described as "keychain made with Coach hangtags," or some similar wording that doesn't imply that Coach made it that way.

There's been much discussion about (as Hyacinth refers to them) chop shop jewelry makers. They buy Coach keychains, disassemble them and use the charms with generic chains and resell them as "Coach bracelets" and "Coach necklaces."

After many listings being reported and removed because they're misleading (intentional or not), sellers are now listing their items as "necklace made with Coach charms."

ETA: Another problem with the specific listing that Whateve posted is that it can easily be confused with the genuine hangtag keychains/charms that Coach does make. This is the genuine 62736:
