The original bag was designed by Bonnie Cashin and is the "Patch Pocket", but without any "Coach marks" it's hard to date the bag. I'm not sure what colors coach used for the vintage bags or what colors they chose when they copied the style later.

Seller needs a picture of the creed...if there is one.

The colors look like the Stroll Tote 9004 from the 1991 Retro Collection. I should have said that it has a creed STAMP, not patch.

I've never seen a bag like this, so I'm really curious to know if this is authentic. Or, if not, was there an authentic bag like this in the past that it's styled after?

I own this bag in the same colors. It is from the early 90's - Made in the US creed. It is a copy of a Bonnie Cashin 1969 design. The original Bonnie Cashin didn't have the zip pocket on the back and wasn't done in these colors.

Hey, that was NOT meant as a slap! Your expertise with vintage and BC bags is always welcome here, I wish we saw more of you.. The more opinions we can gather, the better.

If anything about my comments sounded offensive, I apologise, they certainly were NOT meant to be.

No worries. You got the real deal.

It's a genuine Shearling Gallery Tote. But there are fakes marked Made In Turkey too so authenticating them is a good idea.

You might want to read the Salearea Guides for information about where Coaches have been made:

Thank you both so much. I really appreciate your time and expertise.

And BeenBurned, thanks for schooling me! :worthy:
