Really? I wasn't sure about numbers 1 and 5 because the C's didn't seem to line up on the back but I wasn't sure if that was the design of the purse or not.

Please read the Salearea Coach Guides posted at Ebay, especially the one on Authenticity Guides, where many of the most common "rules" and their lies and mistakes are explained:

THE CENTERED C RULE or THE C'S ARE PERFECTLY STRAIGHT RULE

MOSTLY true, with plenty of exceptions. The center seam or a line down the front of a bag with Signature or Op Art C's should usually divide it into 2 halves that are mirror images of each other.
But:
Sometimes the back isn't correctly centered like style 10483 and the front is mistaken for the back.
Some C patterns on styles like some older Scribble Hobos don't follow the rule.
Some Messenger Bags like # 70077, Heritage Stripe Crossbody Messenger have NOTHING centered.
Most Signature Tartan Plaid bags and accessories made for the outlets in 2010 and 2011 don't follow the Rule, like #15229, 15485 and a bunch more.
Some older bags with Shearling Lamb trim from 2005 like 8K47, 8K48, have the C's set at a 45-degree angle, and so do some of the coated Canvas items sold at the outlets in 2011.

Many fabric patterns don't or won't follow the Rule, like almost all the Scarf Pattern items, and ALL the Optic Signature items where you couldn't line them up if you tried because the pattern is designed to make the C's look randomly scattered all over the fabric.
Many newer patterns and embossed leathers from 2011 don't seem to follow any sort of alignment rules either...

Coach didn't make ANY part of those. They're what we sometimes call "chop-shopped" - made from one or two disassembled keychains and cheap generic earwires. And in this case the charms are fake and made from fake keychins. Not only did Coach not make those charms with pink stripes but the shape of the Cs are completely wrong to be genuine Coach.

Look at the Cs, they're the wrong shape, too thin in the centers and aren't even joined at the serifs.

Thank you. I thought the Cs looked goofy too. Like I said, I thought they looked cheap.

Comments: I'm afraid I made an impulse decision and bought this bag. I was confident I had found a bargain but then after I won it, I noticed the creed says made in Turkey. Not that it means anything, but I've never seen a Coach that was made in Turkey. Did I get snookered?

ETA: After looking around some more, I've found several, similar bags all made in Turkey. Guess I learned something but will feel much better after an expert confirms authenticity. TIA!!

No worries. You got the real deal.

I've never seen a bag like this, so I'm really curious to know if this is authentic. Or, if not, was there an authentic bag like this in the past that it's styled after?

None of the seller, sassasc's listings have enough pictures to prove authenticity. I don't recommend sassasc unless she adds many more pictures to all her listings.

In the future, please refer to post #1 for the required posting format and information we need to see for authentication requests.

It's a genuine Shearling Gallery Tote. But there are fakes marked Made In Turkey too so authenticating them is a good idea.

You might want to read the Salearea Guides for information about where Coaches have been made:

I found these on a yard sale site. I'm not sure because it looks like the ear wire loop is just around the handle of the purse. I would think that Would be too junky for Coach

I questioned the seller and she got very offended that I said they were fake. She said she bought them from the outlet. Oh well.
At first I thought it was Yardsellr but that site is shut down.

Does the site you're referring to have a reporting button to flag fakes? Many of these sites are awful at policing themselves and their sellers.

Are these listed for sale on a website? There's a reason we ask for item location information to be included with authenticity requests. Please post a link where we can find and report them. Sellers who knowingly and blatantly lie about where they bought their cheap fake garbage don't deserve any protection.

The original bag was designed by Bonnie Cashin and is the "Patch Pocket", but without any "Coach marks" it's hard to date the bag. I'm not sure what colors coach used for the vintage bags or what colors they chose when they copied the style later.

Seller needs a picture of the creed...if there is one.
