Can someone please authenticate this Coach bag?
Found her yesterday at Goodwill...pristine condition!
Approx. 8”w x 5.125”h x 2”d Strap drop 7.5”
Looks like 2004 Signature Demi Pouch #6094?
Any idea of color name? Wayback was way-off on this!
Any info is always appreciated...Thanks in advance!

Congratulations, you actually got one of the genuine ones. The color was probably Berry.

:Ebay seller alert:
It's really a shame when you give someone a chance to do the right thing and they don't take it...

Here's the item: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=181203685040&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123

I sent the seller a private message, thinking, "well, it does look vintage and someone might not be thinking fake about something that old, right"? Maybe they just don't know it's fake. (I know, I know, it's one of the most oft-repeated Coach fake mantras: "Bags that say made in Korea are not Coach bags!".... But I'm one of those people who gives the benefit of the doubt too often...). So, I send a nice PM saying,

Dear oldhouse352,

Hello,
Unfortunately, I believe this is a fake bag. To my knowledge, no Coach bags were ever manufactured in Korea. The wording on the creed runs together the words "Coachbag", but have increased spacing between other words. I just wanted to make you aware in hopes that you will withdraw it from sale unless you can provide proof of authenticity. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

And she so nicely replied,
"I greatly appreciate your message. I am still trying to find out how to hone out the fakes from the originals. I will remove it and thank you again very much.

- oldhouse352

AND 48 HOURS LATER IT'S STILL LISTED FOR SALE. :nogood:

I reported it to ebay. Thanks for listening to me vent!

Maybe oldhouse352 will get the message when ebay removes the listings.

Sellers need to know that it's their responsibility to verify authenticity before listing any item. It's the seller's account and reputation that gets dinged when a buyer files a dispute and/or when ebay removes listings.

It's interesting..... oldhouse352's previous 3 listings for the same fake had "authentic" in the titles. This time, she omitted that word, presumably because she thinks that exempts her from abiding by the law.

Here's the creed:

I found these on a yard sale site. I'm not sure because it looks like the ear wire loop is just around the handle of the purse. I would think that Would be too junky for Coach
View attachment 2316537

Coach didn't make ANY part of those. They're what we sometimes call "chop-shopped" - made from one or two disassembled keychains and cheap generic earwires. And in this case the charms are fake and made from fake keychins. Not only did Coach not make those charms with pink stripes but the shape of the Cs are completely wrong to be genuine Coach.

Look at the Cs, they're the wrong shape, too thin in the centers and aren't even joined at the serifs.

Hi all! I was really sick over the summer, so I'm catching up on getting some bags checked out that I got a couple of months ago.

First is this tan Court: https://www.facebook.com/srwaller/media_set?set=a.10100348594271590.1073741835.50908422&type=3

And this black bag, I am guessing it might be a City bag? https://www.facebook.com/srwaller/media_set?set=a.10100348592090960.1073741834.50908422&type=3

Thank you!

We need clear readable photos of the creed and serial number of the Court Bag. The black one is a City Bag if the measurements are right.

Item: signature stripe
Listing number:121169119672

Comments: is this a huge "rule defy-er" that actually has signature print on the exterior as well as the lining?

That style and several others like it were supposed to be reversible and the "inside" Cs aren't part of the lining but are the actual bag fabric, so it doesn't technically break any rules.

However a HUGE number of those styles were fake and almost impossible to authenticate. We don't recommend buying any of them on the secondary market.
