Thank you! I ordered a wristlet from ebays Coach factory sale. Got it today and it said Made in Philippines. Hadn't seen that before.

158 Negatives, 422 Neutrals, and most of them because the item was in MUCH worse condition than described. I can verify that from personal experience. I do NOT RECOMMEND " station_85 " or " station85 " whether on Ebay or Etsy or any other site.

ETA - the seller seems to be "on vacation" from Ebay, either voluntary or forced.

Thanks Hyacinth. ..I was actually aware of that. .. they've now moved operations to etsy and are starting their bad seeking practices there now including selling non-vintage items.

I see a lot of people selling non-vintage items on etsy - do they ever crack down on these? Is there a reporting system?

Be careful when reading the zillions of authenticity guides that flood the internet. Most are incomplete, obsolete or just plain wrong. Some are "copy and pastes" of some other non-expert's guide and just serves to further the trash being circulated.

There's no vetting of authors nor verification of the accuracy of guides so it takes a bit of research to know who to trust.

Yes indeed, the authenticity guides that are on the internet were way too confusing. I'm so glad to have found this board otherwise I would have thought that the seller is not honest. Thank you once again! :woohoo:

I'm not sure about the numbers and the strap has Silvertoned eyes/rivets/buckles are Brass unless the strap has been switched?

The Helen's Legacy is probably fake, all other Coaches with that serial number prefix have been. The silver strap grommets are another problem.

I've seen it before on ebay, not often, but more than a few times. I'm actually surprised the auction went as high as it did. The matching purses from the same line usually never get that high.
