I don't see any problems with the wallet. Yes, Coach does use glue and yes, there can be slightly crooked and overlapped stitches.

Regarding your perception that outlet products are defective and boutique items are perfect, that's not correct. Coach isn't a premier brand (like LV, Chanel, Gucci, Hermes) and aren't made with the attention to detail that you pay premium prices for from other designers.

For the most part, the differences between similar styles from boutique vs. outlet are in the details. Boutique bags and accessories tend to have more details hardware and logos, more detailed trim and accents, and nicer linings. (Where you'll see a horse and carriage plaque on a boutique bag, a simpler - thus less expensive -Coach nameplate might be on a MFF version of the similar style. Where a boutique might have legacy stripe lining, the outlet version may have solid color lining.)

Again, I don't see any problems with the pictures of the wallet you've shown, though I'd like to see the listing and seller's other items.

Greatly appreciate your kind enlightenment on the differences between Coach's outlet and boutique items. Prior to finding this informative and reliable board, I read online that the items from factory uses different leather as compared to the boutique ones and that if there is any glue mark or overlapped stiches on the item, it would be deemed as fake hence when I got my wallet, I immediately freaked out. I feel so relieved now, knowing that the wallet is ok. Thank you!! :hugs:

The shoulder strap wasn't made by Coach, the stitching especially on the leather turnlock tab isn't right, the inside pocket is a COMPLETE mess - wavy zipper, wrong stitching, fake zipper pull. The shape of the turnlock isn't right (too thin), the font of the serial number is also totally wrong, the creed stamping is wrong and the creed almost unreadable, the strap attachment's and top handle's D-rings are thin and cheap, and the hangtag is fake with the wrong border around the logo.

Yes, it's a POS - please report.

The purse is 11 inches tall 10 inches across and 5.5 inches deep. The flap with the creed has a zipper pocket. That is he only other pocket besides the main compartment.

And Hyacinth, I forgot my ruler :( but I found one at the store! Hehe ^^.

It looks like a genuine Drawstring Sac from the Lightweight line, style 4015 from around 1990, give or take a year either way.

You need to check the Outlets around the holidays in case they bring back those "official" Coach measuring tapes! :D

Thanks a lot Hyacinth! I was wondering why the leather was thinner on this bag... But it is because it is lightweight. Your knowledge will never cease to amaze me.

They have coach rulers?!? That sounds awesome! I will definitely be on the lookout for them.

You're welcome. After seeing the listing (and the seller's other items), I can assure you that you did fine.

Be careful when reading the zillions of authenticity guides that flood the internet. Most are incomplete, obsolete or just plain wrong. Some are "copy and pastes" of some other non-expert's guide and just serves to further the trash being circulated.

There's no vetting of authors nor verification of the accuracy of guides so it takes a bit of research to know who to trust.

The creed looks authentic, the hooks on the shoulder straps read "Coach", the interior looks right, everything looks legit, but the leather feels fake/cheap so I'm just making sure. Thanks! Please try to get better pictures using the macro function on your camera. It's the setting with a tulip/flower icon and allows you to get clear closeups. Experiment with both flash on and off when photographing the creed. The light colored leather is hard to photograph.

I don't see obvious problems but clear pictures would make me a lot more comfortable.
