Probably got it from here.. You gals can't imagine the amount of fake purses here. It's frustrating for someone who saves and longs for an authentic and gets scammed with a fake! A lot of the suppliers who supply the fakes here get it from China or locally made. What makes it worse is that on ebay Philippines, a lot of sellers, sell these fakes as authentic with the actual price of an original. Only someone with a keen eye will be able to spot it. I wish we had the same policy as your country where in counterfeit items are illegal because that's not the case here. It's crazy! And another worse thing, we have no Coach stores here yet! We have everything else but no COACH. ARGH!!!

PS: I'd like to thank you and Hyacinth for providing me with such wisdom on spotting fakes. I really appreciate the information you gals give on this site. I have the utmost respect for the ladies that help each other out in this forum. As we say thank you in the Philippines, Salamat!

We knew that there are a huge number of fakes coming from the Philippines but I wasn't aware that selling fakes wasn't illegal there. That's hard to believe but it explains a lot. And being so close to China it's a natural place for the Chinese fakes makers to expand to.

That's really a shame. I'm sure having a Coach plant manufacturing there is good for the local economy but it's a really foolish decision by Coach considering the huge potential for their bags being faked locally. And it explains why so many Philippinos who can afford to travel do their shopping in Japan and Hawaii and the continental US.

Things won't change until the government learns that refusing to respect the laws protecting the copyrights and trademarks of other countries is a mistake, and laws need to be written and enforced if they want their economy to continue growing. And Ebay Ph. Needs to get much more serious about removing fakes and fakes sellers permanently.

I'm not sure if it's a genuine Turnlock Case. From everything I've seen, Coach only used the E plant code for Italy. If the plant code was re-assigned to a different plant, maybe with the idea that they wouldn't be using the Italy plant any more, it would be the first time I've seen it.

There's a chance the case may be genuine but right now there's just no way to prove it.
Thanks Hyacinth, I had my doubts, there is a stitch issue also on the front right piping that had me suspicious .

I completely agree with you... Speaking about our government, let's just say there's a lot of corruption going on there. Our country has so much potential but alas you know the story. That's why every time I want to get something authentic, that I can't find in a store here, I have my friend buy it on ebay US and have it sent here, but reading all these threads have also made me aware that there are still fakes even on ebay US... even if it is illegal there.. how do these counterfeits make it there?

It's common for patterns not to match perfectly or be perfectly aligned on the sides. Based on the size of the pattern and size of the bag, it'd be nearly impossible to design bags so every one had perfectly centered, matched and aligned seams. And if that amount of labor was needed to make bags that way, the prices would be prohibitive because of the time and waste of fabric involved.

Thus for most (but not all) styles, the patterns are centered, aligned and have matched front and back seams but sides and bottoms can be off.

The pouch you've linked is authentic.

Trying to stop the sale of counterfeits is hard even here. Any time someone can make a lot of money with very little chance of going to jail for it, everyone from greedy private individuals to street gangs to other kinds of organized crime to terrorist groups will be involved in it. It's like that here. Until the manufacturers start taking serious action against the sellers and distributors (and start taking serious legal action against "venues" like Ebay, Listia, and other sites that close their eyes to the fakes sellers) and local police departments start cracking down, it will keep going. (Since most large fakes manufacturing operations are outside the US, there's very little the government can do to stop them. And trying to stop them from coming into the country is like trying to kill flies with a toothpick - US Customs can barely manage to examine one percent of all the shipments that come into the US. With the huge volume of goods we import just from China, it's incredibly easy for fakes to get into the country.)

Unfortunately the local police always have "bigger problems" to worry about, so unless the federal government gets smart and makes BUYING fakes a crime just like selling them is, nothing will change.Governments everywhere are short of cash to handle basic services like law enforcement so things like selling fake purses end up pretty far down on their list compared to gang violence, robbery and murder.

It's an ugly situation and will get worse before it gets better.

Morning,
Wondering if this is real. I can't find any info on it being made in this color. TIA.

No, it was NEVER made in that color. Coach has never made classic leather bags in Bubble Gum Pink. I don't even have to see the creed to know that one's fake.

Not only is the bag color wrong but the buckles are brass and the buckle hole grommets are silver. Please report.

That's what I figured, but always want to make sure with the experts first. All the others I have found have been in more classic colors. I noticed the mismatched hardware, but thought it was a glare in the photo or my screen. Thanks so much, I have reported it, hopefully in time, as some un-lucky bidder won it.
