I wish the first half of the serial number was showing, but what I can see looks good. It would have been from no earlier than 1998 or 1999 so technically it's not "vintage".

Scroll about 1/3rd of the way down to "THE CENTERED C RULE or THE C'S ARE PERFECTLY STRAIGHT RULE"

and to "THE C'S SHOULD MATCH AT THE SEAMS RULE":
"They often do on bags with straight up & down sides, but it's almost impossible to match them along curved seams"

Please send your buyer ALL the links, I'm sure there's other misinformation she's picked up from other online "guides" that needs to be corrected.

Link (if available): None, found it at a garage sale over the weekend. The seller said it was a real Coach (she had a couple of really obvious knock offs that she pointed out were fakes)

The thing that confuses me is the wording about bridle leather? I've never seen that before, and the numbering is odd looking to me, LP0-9420, isn't that the wrong order?

I'm not sure what Coach considers "bridle leather", maybe a type of calfskin. But the bag is a genuine Bonnie's Legacy Zip Satchel as far as I can tell. They have used the Bridle Leather description before on a few other bags. As for the serial number, we've said it before - sometimes they just made a mistake at the plant.

Thank you! I was just unsure what to believe since the seller did have a couple of fakes, but she did acknowledge those weren't real and this one was. The stamping threw me off. I looked up the bridle leather, apparently it's a longer process which is costly and time consuming, they use a higher grade of leather than normal supposedly.

do all coach purses have only one dash in the serial number? I bought a really nice vintage, quality leather one, but there are two dashes. No-H00-9816. It looks like a duffle bag purse. It has ykk loop zippers. Eiether way it's super cute :)

Both items look authentic. They are brown. I think the purple mentioned in the listing was a mistake.

ETA: I don't think the cosmetic case will fit inside that purse.
