Although brand-japan didn't show the creed in the listing Deb asked about, this listing from his/her other ID, japan_monoshare appears to be the same style in black and does show the creed:

Just answered with the serial number from the title and that it is a very old style with thick leather made to last and never been used. Not sure if it can be authenticated without a photo of the creed, but thought I would try anyways. :wondering

The first one is authentic. The second one is authentic and looks like a Collegiate Bag #9815 from the late 80's, not the 70's as stated in the listing. The third one appears fake. Coach bags don't have the rivet on the strap or the edge of the strap cut at an angle like that one. The turnlock seems to be the wrong shape. The number the seller provides is used on Korean fakes.

The first one is a Gallery Bag from around 1992, style number 4028 from the Lightweight line.

The second is a Small Tote, style 9685 maybe from the early 1980s.

Item . Black 96 willis
From a thrft store 5 bucks.

I have 4 other 90s willis' so if this is not authentic I will be mind blown. I'm concerned bc the dowel is not covered. Just showing wood. The wood isn't loose or moveable. I apologize for a strange post and not great pics. Had to use my phone. I don't want to leave it at the store just yet or I know it won't be here when I come back.

I was given this bag as a gift and people are telling me it's fake. I've checked numerous places, even called coach directly but they could tell me anything.

I had googled the serial number and the same purse was for sale in eBay. I'm so confused!

Please post photos of the actual purse. A creed photo by itself can't prove a Coach is genuine.

And any time someone who thinks they have all the answers tells you that something's fake, put them on the spot and ask them WHY.

The creed looks good so far but without a picture of the rest of the bag, I can't authenticate it with any credibility.

Who are these "people" who claim expertise to know that the bag is fake? Please do not put faith in someone's opinion who may not be a Coach expert. Your bag was made 8 years ago and even if the "expert" was a Coach user back then, if they aren't familiar with that particular style, they shouldn't be offering advice.

As for Coach, we don't recommend contacting them. Even with a valid serial number, the bag it's on can be fake. (Counterfeiters can and do use legitimate numbers on fakes.) Without seeing a bag and the details, they can't authenticate even if they know the style.

Please post a picture of the full front of the bag.
