See my updated post - remind me not to cook dinner and post at the same time.
OK.....so my rehabbing skills are much better than culinary :graucho:........ LOL........but here's the side-by-side and I think you're spot on.... My roughed up little bugger is a "rider bag". ..........sounds appropriate. The bigger question is if I can give this bag new life..

Ranger (left & rear) --- Rider (front & center........if you concur) ???

Yep, sounds right to me.

I agree with Hyacinth that you should use extreme caution when buying from the Philippines.

Additionally, I recommend posting here even if you do find a seller showing creed pictures. What we've seen are bags with what appears to be quality (authentic-like) construction and creeds that appear "perfect," except that the creeds have serial numbers that are invalid for the styles of bags they're on.

I'd feel much more comfortable authenticating bags from countries other than the Philippines.

ETA: Actually, I recommend AGAINST buying from seller tj123010. Not only do the seller's listings not show enough pictures to authenticate, and not only does the selling make unauthorized use of various manufacturers' copyrighted stock photos, and not only do the seller's listings have multiple backgrounds implying that the pictures come from various sources, but the seller also steals pictures from other ebay sellers.

This listing from tj123010:

Was stolen from ebay seller ringo4422, whose pictures all have the same background. I know for a fact she doesn't allow others to use her work:

Wow thanks BeenBurned for the update. I'll stay away from that seller. Thanks so much again!:smile1:

I was watching that very listing! I ended up buying new from FOS and it shipped within hours of purchase (free shipping option). I personally don't like to spend that much for a pre-owned bag unless it is quite rare. Plus, I can return my FOS more easily if it doesn't work out (unlikely!).
Thanks for the feedback, i agree that sometimes it is worth it to get a brand new bag! I'm hoping the FOS abby doesn't sell out before i make up my mind!

Good morning ladies! Not sure where I should post this because I don't have pics yet. Does anyone know what a style 4187 bag from '98 should look like? It is an Italian bag. The way back machine isn't cooperating!
Thank you!
