That's a very highly-faked style and there are several problems with this one including the creed patch. DON'T bid!

We NEVER recommend that anyone ever buy one of these Gallery Totes - almost every #1443 you'll ever find for sale will be fake. And 95 percent of the fakes are much more accurate than this one. Not only is the creed stamped off-center but the sides of the patch aren't straight and the stitching is sloppy. In fact the details of the bag itself are noticeably "off" from the genuine version, if you can find a real one to compare it to. Luckily I did manage to find pics of a real one several years ago, along with a really close fake creed.

From the top - bad fake, close fake, genuine.

Thank you Thank you!

Good morning everyone! Hope you're all staying cool! Picked up this poor gal yesterday, would appreciate a quick look! She's darker in reality.

It is authentic. You should be able to get a new turnlock from Coach, maybe the strap ring too. Is the leather patch to attach the strap missing?

Probably. Apart from the creeds, which can look pretty good, but often has an incorrect plant code - a reliable tell on a fake "Taft" is that the stitching around the zipper is squared off, rather than rounded and/or the zipper lacks the ferrule on the closed end. Of course, having both of those doesn't mean a bag is genuine, but it is a way to rule out many of the fakes.

So netlawyer, for educational purposes, is this one genuine or fake? http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Briti...124?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item51af23c1b4

IMO, it's fake. The stitching around the zipper isn't rounded, the zipper stop isn't present, and the plant code is a straight line.

The plant code is trying to be a capital "i", which was ONLY used for Turkey.

Another weird looking one - and it has some bids

Thanks!

And doesn't the creed say "Charateristic" ???

That bag is fake. Posting to the Hall of Shame, maybe we can get it pulled before the buyer pays.
That bag also has one of the common fake serial numbers, as seen on Hyacinth's post as well as the stretched "elephant" leather.:
