Good day lovely ladies, this is not an auction so I can't put it in normal format but would appreciate your weigh in on this bag. Blue soho xl hobo periwinkle blue style 4082. I "question" the bag only because of the hardware simply because I have no idea when nickel began being used by coach, this is a common faked style and lastly, I've been burned before on these. So I am trading with someone and before I do that I wanted to check authenticity, your help is appreciated! You guys rock!

Hi, everyone! Can someone let me know whether this item is authentic; I do like the color. I checked my cheat sheets and didn't see any red flags and the style # matches other items on eBay.

Descr. Authentic coach Vtg. Natural Glove-tanned Cowhide Olive Green

Seller: justlikerhoda1811

Item no. 141014669842

Thanks for your expertise

Your link doesn't work, but I'm guessing that this is the one you mean?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/AUTHENTIC-C...842?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item20d5211a12

The seller doesn't show the serial number, but the bag seems like a genuine Equestrian Compartment Bucket.

If the seller has had the bag's authenticity questioned before, she really should be more concerned with showing the serial number.

Not showing the serial no. made me wonder if it even had one. I wonder if she meant the hangtag was split and the previous buyer only returned half. She's right I guess, a hangtag won't verify authenticity.

I tried to edit my previous post but it didn't work. I'll ask her to provide a better pic of the creed. Was this color part of the collection? Thanks.

Coach first made nickle (silver) hardware available in the Soho line in their 1997 Summer catalog and it was available on most of the Sohos in that catalog including the Soho Bag in Periwinkle. The creed and the rest of the bag seem ok.

I don't think the original listing was removed. If you look at the invalid link provided, it's missing a 0 in the item number, which is why it didn't work.

Yes.

If she quoted the serial number in the listing, it's a safe guess that it does have one. But often things like the wrong font in a serial number can be a warning sign.

Hi there,

I just bid on this bag, can you help me to see whether it is the real deal? For some reason, I thought that was the vintage shoulder bag I'm looking for, but then realized it didn't have the back pocket at the back after I placed the bid. Thanks so much for your help!

Seller: beachcityseller

It looks like a genuine Convertible Clutch, style 9635. That style didn't come with an outside back pocket.

Thanks Hyacinth! And for just a moment, I want to tell you how greatful I am for you..I know you've said it a million times to not rely on Coach, how about I called asked them this simple question (when was nickel introduced) and noone, not noone who was working that day was able to tell me when Coach introduced Nickel, like really it is that hard of a question and I would expect some level of expertise, they're usually not informative at all, just makes me wonder, like don't the employees care to be knowledgeable? I would if I was answering a phone for customer service. Ok off my horse, just venting :smile1:, thanks again!
