Notes: This lady had 3 bags listed in this listing. One of them had a Korean creed. I contacted her and she immediately took it down. I was just looking at this a little closer, and the style number on this is 9930 (Murphy) not 9958 Pelham Zip. Thoughts?

Although this isn't generally my area of expertise, I did sell a 9930 Murphy bag and it did NOT look like the bag in this listing!

I'm not comfortable with this wallet listing from squirrel-dog either. There are a few small details that don't look right:

The fact that you found a comp in the same color is very helpful.

The comparison reinforces my discomfort although other opinions are welcome.
The coin compartment zipper is a different color, the insides of the gusseted side panels are a different color and seem to be a different material, the zipper pull is different and the o-ring holding the zipper pull is a different gauge/thickness.

I think all of this is enough to scare me off. I love my Pelham... I'll wait to get her a sister ;)

The stitching is really sloppy too.

So I went on a Goodwill run for jeans today and see this in the case. The Legacy stripe sold me. :)

Hi ladies:

I just received this purchase today and have serious concerns about its authenticity. If you could please give me your thoughts I will take them back to the seller.

VINTAGE COACH SHOULDER HANDBAG LEATHER BLACK UNITED STATE

Comments: The serial number starts with J4K, I am not sure there was a K plant in 1994. Comparing the bag to another Rambler's Legacy (a 1999 bag), the strap is longer than the 1999 Rambler's Legacy. The area where the tongue of the buckle attaches is very sloppy and has some kind of weird leather. The buckles are marked "SOLID BRASS." The bag has elephant leather in some areas. Areas inside the bag are undyed and the zipper inside is too short and installed off center. There is a spot where the stiching runs off the leather. In the photos comparing bag, it is easy to tell which is the authentic bag and which is the bag I received today. (About half the grommets on the strap are silver or fading, which in my experience is good reason to look closely at the bag.)
