We need more photos please - a straight-ahead pic of both the front and back of the bag, another of one of the sides showing it from top to bottom, and one of the end of the strap including the big clip and any stamps or logos on it or on the rings that it attaches to.

EDITED TO ADD: Never mind more photos. I think you're right about it being fake - the Cs are too small, for one thing, and they're not correctly centered on one side (or maybe both). The Cs should be the same size and proportions as the one in Coach's picture below. Where did you get this?

i saw it on ebay for like $25.00 and thought o thats not bad at all and then i got to looking harder and the person didnt put up photos of the tag so i emailed asking for more pictures and thats what she sent,so i didnt bid because i was pretty sure it was fake thank you so much for helping out,(but i do feel bad someone did bid and won it) ill post you a link for the page (i dont know how to report fakes on ebay)i just feel bad when i see people bidding on them,i would hate to pay good money for a fake that would make me a very sad panda

Yes, 25 dollars is too much even for a fake. It's been reported to Ebay now but they're notoriously bad about removing completed listings. The poor buyer will probably get an email from Ebay 2 months from now telling her there's a question about the item and she shouldn't complete the transaction. All too late to do anything about it, of course. But thanks for posting the link to the auction.

Have you ever seen fruit key fobs like these before? Or were they separated from one entire keychain? Trying to find out if these are indeed real, but I can't find any information on them for some reason.

There's only one photo, so I don't think anyone here will be comfortable telling you either way. I have no idea why sellers don't take advantage of ebay no longer charging to upload pictures! Plus this seller's lack of description would be enough to make me hit the 'back' button! Sorry I can't help more, I would never authenticate a bag on one pic alone, even if that one pic looked okay to me. Maybe ask the seller for more pictures, then post them here. I know there's little time left, so if they can't send the pics in time I personally would pass. Sorry.

If the serial number posted by the seller is right, that bag is FAKE. I've owned 2 of that style and it wasn't even made until 1999, so a 1994 serial number means it's fake. There's also no reason why a 12-year old Coach would need to be redyed.

Seller littlemissmuffet808 needs to be a lot more careful about authenticating her items.

katev - you did an amazing job on your bag! Your sister is lucky :)

I can appreciate them looking new, especially if the bag is new to you, if that makes sense, but I LOVE the patina look. I totally agree that my bag has a lot of great use in it. I just really want a black bag to use right now and I figured why not get a style I now works for me. I have been using my mahogany bag daily for probably a year or more.

Those are all genuine and are just as Coach originally made them. I think they were made some time around 2004 give or take a year or 2 either way.

The style numbers are
Strawberry - 1631
Pear - 1632
Orange - 1601
Apple - 7311

They make a nice little collection. :smile1:

As MarneeB said, it's almost impossible to tell if something's authentic when the seller only shows one photo. And we don't recommend bidding on poorly-photographed items unless the buyer is going to pay by credit card in case they need to dispute the authenticity once they receive the item.

I'm not familiar with the style and there's no clear photo of the creed patch so it's hard to be sure. But it looks ok if the creed turns out to be ok.
