Front and sides

Thanks for your help. My concern is that the turnlock is not attached in the way other vintage coach purses in my possession are, the zipper is different and there appears to be no color in the creases of the seams, as well as a non-centered seam. I know the rules are not rules but I'm not sure about this. Thanks!

That style was verified several months ago by Jed Winokur of the Coach Archives in answer to a question by tPF member MissMuffet. He said it was a vintage early 1970s Penny and the style came before the Dinky, and that there were at least two different versions with different straps. I don't see any problems with yours.

This might be the wrong place to ask this but I'm curious, when did coach first introduce there "signature line?"

The first Signature C fabric style came out in 2000. All Signature styles have been made outside the US. If you ever see a "Signature C" or Op Art C pattern on or in a bag with a year code from before 2000 or that says it was made in the US, post it here because it's fake.

Coach made a few all-leather accessories in the mid-1990s where they used "signature" in the official names but these were not patterned and didn't have any C's on or in them.

That's good to know, thank you so much

Yikes! I think I may have purchased a fake. Please help!

Comments: I am trying to resell this bag, as the strap is too short for me. (Listing link deleted)
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

You already have several potential violations of Ebay rules, and one of the tPF forum rules as well. I suggest you read the rules of both sites.

1- If you think the bag may be fake you should have removed the listing. You CAN'T sell anything on Ebay unless you can confirm beyond doubt that it's authentic.

2- You're reusing your original seller's photos in your listing - that's also against Ebay rules unless you have the express permission of the owner of the photos to do so.

3- You CANNOT post links to your own auctions or sales here on tPF. That's considered "advertising" and can get you banned from the site. Your original post or at least the link to your listing will probably be removed by the Mods.

Under Community Guidelines - PURSEFORUM Rules it states:
"Linking your own auctions is not permitted, in posts, signatures or otherwise. This includes eBay, Bonanzle, eCrater, iOffer and other auction-type sites."

If you think something's fake it helps to explain why. If it's because of something you found in some online "authenticity guide" it's probably completely wrong, since I don't see any problems with the bag.

Sorry to be so rough when it's your first post but whether it's about posting here or selling on Ebay the Rules are important. Violating them at Ebay can cause more problems for sellers than just having a listing pulled.

Please end the listing that uses the other seller's watermarked pictures AND a copy-and-paste of her description. Since the bag is deemed to be authentic, you will be allowed to relist it but take your own pictures and write your own description.

Sellers work hard to develop a listing "style" and it's unfair and unethical (as well as illegal) to use their work.

Welcome to tpf!

The swingpack looks good but the seller definitely should have disclosed that the zipper pull is missing. That can be a PITA!

In the future, please refer to post #1 for the posting information - http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-763164.html#post22406795

this is the bag I am lusting after.

thoughts? good price? real? should I hold out for finding it at an outlet?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-COACH-L...742?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item27d2c6d5b6

many thanks!!
It's authentic.

The bag is a boutique/department store style but that particular one was purchased from an outlet. The problem with waiting for it to get to the outlet is that they might not get it in the color combination you want, or you have to call several outlets asking whether they have it, considering what your time and gas money is worth to get it, etc.

Many buyers consider it more convenient, cost effective and less stressful to let someone else do the running around. You can sit at home, press a few buttons and have it delivered to your door in a couple of days. There's a value to that!

As for reasonable price, an item is worth what a willing buyer wants to pay for it. We can't decide what something is worth to you and in fact, TPF disallows suggesting prices for just that reason.

Do a search of completed and sold listings for the same style of bag to see what they sold for in the color you want. That's the best gauge of value.
