Before you buy a bag from ebay.ph, please do a search (either google or TPF search) of Filippino/Philippines bags.

Personally, I'm reluctant to authenticate or recommend any listings on the ebay Philippines website because the fakes we've seen are AAA fakes and often difficult to authenticate.

While I know you'd probably prefer to buy from your own country, as a buyer, I'd feel more comfortable spending (perhaps) a bit more and buying from a seller in the US who has proven themselves to sell genuine designer items.

ETA:
Note that another red flag in listings from the Philippines is the way the brand names are listed. Often, sellers will try to stay under the radar by using various tactics when titling their listings.

In the listing you asked about, the brand in the title is "Coaches" rather than "Coach" as it should be. Is the seller hiding something?

Other sellers might spell Coach as "C0ACH" using a "zero" instead of O in Coach, seemingly another attempt to stay under the radar.
Thanks so much for the infos BeenBurned:smile1:

You're up late tonight! I'm an insomniac...what's your tale? ha ha
Me too. I like being up when the house is quiet. I've always been like this. I can never get up early in the morning and I can never go to bed early. I used to have a boss who would call 7 am meetings just to annoy me, even though the company had flex time.

My son is worse - he is on a 26 hour cycle. He works his way around the clock - it takes him a couple of weeks to make it all the way around.

Coach started using the squared turnlocks on briefcases in 1996, and gradually phased out the original Turnlock styles starting in the early 2000s. They eventually brought back the classic Beekman as a "Coach Original", still with the squared turnlock and still in inventory but with a new style number 70799, and when they brought back the "Classic Leather Field Bag" style 18000 a year or two ago it also had the squared turnlocks.

Style 542 is a Multi-Compartment Brief.

Thanks so much, Hyacinth for your always-valuable information!

Hello wonderful Coachies! I haven't had much time to indulge my Coach habit, but happened to stumble upon a couple of oldies! Any help would be greatly appreciated as always. First up:

Sorry they're sideways! Got a new tablet and I can't figure out how to rotate the darn pics!

I'm pretty sure this is a Legacy Hobo, but I always like verification because I'm thinking of selling this one. The creed is a little hard to read...hopefully the picture is ok.
Bought this one cheap!
Took the pictures myself.
Thanks for the help.

It seems ok but larger pictures would have been better, especially one of the bag stuffed with a shirt or towel to show it's actual shape. And a close photo of the strap buckle would help too - if you can show a 3/4 view of the front and side of the bag including the strap and buckle I'll take another look. Try to save them to Photobucket in at least a 600x800 size. Thanks!.

Okay, I had to ditch the tablet - it was taking too long! Hyacinth, this one may interest you - could it possibly be a pre-creed Cashin era bag?

The leather is amazing!

There weren't a lot of pre-Cashin bags since Coach only made purses for about 2 or 3 years before Bonnie Cashin came to work for them. But it's before a time that I'm familiar with, so maybe Whateve or DemRam can answer your questions.
