I purchased this Station bag on Ebay. I have owned about 10 Station bags and I'm sure it is a fake. Hardwear has the wrong size (see handles), tag has three frames instead of two, stitching is messy for a 1994 Station bag, latch is sewn onto the flap, Number below creed looks like its stamped too low,...

Pictures include 2 other station bags for reference. The bag in question is always on the right.

What do the experts say? Thanks so much for your input!

Good Evening Ladies! One to authenticate when time permits. Thanks....

1) Unknown pre '94 Brown bag -
Seller: in my possession

Comments: a tad larger than a basic bag & with a divided outer pocket. A senior moment and I can't remember the name of this bag :(

Also, is it better to discontinue using photobucket? What is the preferred picture format since photobucket has changed. Thanks
It is a Companion Bag #9300.
I think if you embed the photobucket images, they will show up larger. Or you can save the photos to your computer and use the paperclip icon to upload them.

Good Afternoon :)

I don't think this is authentic. The creed is off center and I can't find any other similar purses, but it does look somewhat vintage, so I was hoping you awesome authenticators could tell me for sure :) THX

Thx for all your help :))
It is fake. Whenever you see a bag with a creed that starts with 4C-, you know it is fake. The Coach imprint on the outside is in a weird place too. As you noticed, the stamping is off-center and goes off the bottom of the creed. It is a shame it got so many bids.

You're welcome.
Check out the rehab thread. I've used Brasso, Wenol's, and vinegar with fine steel wool. Some of the ladies use a Drexel tool for polishing.

I was reading through the rehab thread (so much helpful information!). But it looks like they coated the turn lock on this one and the gold coating is gone, so I wasn't sure if brass polishing would work in this case

Most brass hardware is just plated brass. I think they stopped using solid brass in the 70's. So most of the posts about polishing brass refer to plated brass. I have a couple of bags from this line. The brass has a satin finish so it isn't really shiny.

But I wanted to post Coach's own website photo of style 12291 the Ergo Editorial Large Canvas Tote, see below. (It's hard to see in the website pic but the Sig C pattern is woven into the fabric)

This is yet another reason why we don't trust Coach nor recommend buyers call them for information.

Although I'd like to see a full straight on picture of the creed to authenticate the bag in the listing, that is exactly what style 12291 should look like as evidenced by this Nordstrom link:

Thanks! Searched and searched and couldn't find anything. I really appreciate the pics.

Could anyone help identify this Coach Leatherware bag, cannot find it on any list and the number doesn't help... thanks in advance!

It looks like a genuine Carlton Bag style 4132 from the early Soho line, early 1990s.

Thanks for the info.

What is the preferred file size for a photo on this site? .......and now I feel totally stupid. Where is the "paper-clip" icon? Where I see to insert photo requires a web address. Guess I need assistance. ............showing my age :(
