It looks like a genuine Audrey Zip from 1999.

Thanks so much. I worry and second guess myself. So nice to know I made a good choice. Thank you for helping me spend my money wisely.

I have been reading the awesome reference posts here (1999) was a guess of mine. I would have never known her name though. Thanks for the info and I'm reading and studying while looking at them. I can help my friends and family find a great bag they will love.

Someone previously loved it and took great care of it. I intend to do the same.

OMGosh! I may have thrifted that bag's sister tonight - same J8C code!

Good evening ladies - I found a couple of bags this evening and wanted to ask for your assessment.

The first:

Small crossbody with nickel hardware.
6.5H x 8W x 2.75D Strap drop is 20-22"

I dug up a couple of other creeds with the wiggle in the corner just to compare, the first is mine and two of the other three have a wiggle and one doesn't seem to: http://s1273.photobucket.com/user/netlawyer/library/Wiggle Creeds
Obviously a plant would have more than one creed stamp.

The second bag:

I bought this bag almost in spite if itself. It doesn't look like any Coach bag I've personally run across yet and the padded stitching on the bottom looks strange to me. However, I've seen the stitching all around the zipper on other Coach bags and the workmanship and hardware on the bag is all very nice. The "brass" seems to have worn off the main zipper pull, which gave me pause but maybe Coach had a bad run of zippers. The inside zipper is nylon with a small leather pull and the bag is lined with brown signature fabric.

Black Handbag
7H x 9W x 3D Strap drop is 8"

Thanks so much in advance - I feel like Nancy Drew...

There aren't any problems with either one, the first is a Mambo Hobo and the second an Amanda Small Hobo. All the details seem ok.

Good Morning! I picked this bag up yesterday at Goodwill and hoping it is authentic. The # is A8D-9807. I couldn't find much info about it although someone referred to it as a Logan bag? Thanks in advance!

It's called an Equestrian Flap Bag and looks genuine.

Are both 9807 and 9808 are called equestrian flaps?

Hi everyone,

I picked up this purse from a thrift store on the weekend for $20. It looks and feels like genuine Coach and the wear is consistent with a vintage purse.

However it has one weird thing about it. Underneath the creed it has the letters "2008" and that's it. I couldn't find anything about 4 digits ever being printed there, or the model number since the year 2008 messes with my results. I'd love to know if it was genuine and anything else about it.

Here are the pictures: http://s1191.photobucket.com/user/jbaldwin69/library/Vintage Coach Find

I haven't yet done any work on it, or even cleaned it. I plan to go the saddle soap/conditioner route, and get a replacement hang tag from Coach.

Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Here's two of the photos from that album:

Sorry, it isn't authentic. Not only does it not have a valid serial/style number, but a Coach creed starts with "This is Coach bag..." not "This is a Leather Ware bag".
