Appreciate your help on this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-COA...328?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item3f22c80088
Seller: luckybrake_2008
Ebay listing 271166472328

Other questions:
1. Was plant code M ever used for United States plants?
2. I spent some time researching Maggie pictures and I am not sure how many rivets are on either side of the bag where the "corners" fold over - in some pictures it looks like two on each side, and in some like one on one side, two on the other. Please advise.

Thank you.

The bag in the listing is genuine, at least it looks ok to me. I'll have to get back to you on the rivets.

The M code was used at different times for US and for Costa Rica plants.

EDITED TO ADD - Two rivets per side seems to be more common but it's alsways possible that was a detail that was changed after the style came out.

It's used. So, I thought it was such a good deal, I bought it...$40, plus shipping. My best friend, a coach finatic, believes it to be real..I did have the seller send me a pic of the creed. I cant seem to download the pic (its an ebay email attachment)... The creed says its made in vietnam and the serial is G1281-F16550. My concern is that other creeds I saw of this same bag, new, say made in china x1282-f16550...

Thank you,

So far, the bag looks fine. Use the "manage attachments" below the reply box to upload a picture of the creed or another option is to open a free photobucket or photo-hosting account and post the IMG link.

In response to your edit... I had read some of the feedback, but couldn't parse what was going on! That makes sense. Perhaps she decides whether to purchase/ship depending on whether she can procure the item not at a loss.

Edit: just read the Toolhaus feedback. Wow! Maybe I'm a total ebay newbie, and I have heard that being a seller on Ebay can be really difficult... but that seller sounds pretty hard to deal with. In every dispute she says the buyer is wrong and has been blocked. I think I'm going to steer clear, as much as I like the bag.

Hello,
I just found this forum and see that there seems to be some concerns about our auctions/store on Ebay. We only sell authentic handbags and if you check the feedback, you will see that we've never received a comment questioning that. All of our items are in stock and not listed, then searched...Ebay doesnt allow that and it would be a terrible way to do business and we would have many, many unhappy customers! Our volume is HUGE and in a small percentage of the listings errors happen. We have nominal negative/neutral feedback out of almost 4000 that have been left. Also, we try to make everyone happy, offer refunds, free shipping, credits when we do make an error which is why we block them from buying again which is also clearly communicated in the auction...why would we want to risk another negative if we couldn't make the buyer happy the first time even after accepting responsibility??? Our reputation is very important and it took a long time to build it. Also, to sell this amount of volume we had to verify authenticity with Ebay...they are very serious about this and will block anyone who sells high ticket items in volume until their paperwork can be verified. We have been doing this with much success for years, are top rated and a platinum power seller. I hope this helps answer some of the questions!! And dont be afraid to shop our store!!

Hi,

TY BeenBurned!

About the creed pic: In ebay mail, the seller used the attach image feature. And for whatever reason ebay has, you are not able to download the enlarged image...

I don't see any problems with the seller's auction listings nor with the bidding patterns.

Although with pre-owned items, we like to see actual item pictures, when sellers sell NWT items, they often purchase multiples, especially when they get good sale prices.

I agree that the selling prices on itsinaclutch's items don't seem high enough to make much money and it's also not a good economy to take chances on a bidding war happening on low-starting bid items.

I don't know how or why she's taking such a risk for losing money but I don't see any red flags regarding authenticity of her Coach items.

ETA: Hmm. A thought occurred to me. I wonder whether the seller is listing on speculation, buying the bags after items are sold.

Her feedback indicates that she might be buying the items following the listings' endings. And based on the implications that items weren't available or that the shipping/delivery were slow, I wonder whether she's refunding when unable to find the bags:

NOTE: 95% of these are all our own photos and not stock photos. You can compare the Coach store photo to our photo and see that they are different. We have an amazing photographer that is so good that Coach recently took one of our auctions down because they thought it was their photo!!!! Still waiting on the apology...lol!

If you re-read the posts, there was nothing that implied (or stated) that your items weren't authentic. With so many feedbacks mentioning slow shipping, that is something buyers want to take into consideration.

You certainly have the right to block anyone you choose but IMO it's unprofessional and tacky to mention it in the feedback. As a buyer, I'd rather see an unemotional response to what you consider to be an undeserved feedback ding. Most of the buyer comments have your replies admitting errors or research yet you still reply "will be blocked!" or "has been blocked!"

As for ebay verifying authenticity of your items before being able to list them, that doesn't happen. Ebay doesn't question them unless and until a seller's listings are reported. And even then, sellers get a few "passes" before they receive restrictions.

You have nice items and when you sell enough, you'll have problem buyers, problems with USPS or other issues. It will serve you well to take a deep breath and practice better customer service. It's never to your benefit to respond to complaints before you've taken the time to cool off.

Can anyone authenticate this bag?
Item: Coach Legacy Hobo bag 9058
Seller: n/a used bag from a relative.
I have a feeling it might me fake because the hardwares I saw of this bag online were goldish and this one is silver. I never saw a clear image online of the inside of the bag but this does not have any lining. One other thing that makes me feel iffy is that someone else posted the same kind of bag and with the same serial number. Maybe I'm wrong but would there be a bag of the same kind with the same exact serial number? The no. Is B1D-9058.

Coaches in the same style made after 1994 in the same plant, month and year will have the same serial numbers. And silver hardware was available on many Coach styles after 1998. I don't see any problems.
