Item Title: NEW COACH HANDBAG LEGACY SIGNATURE STRIPE 19918

Listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-COACH-H...736?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item460bc609d0

Item number: 300845238736

Everything looks good, except for the creed. Thanks in advance.

I agree. I wonder whether the seller, cello850 thinks the serial number is top-secret and photoshopped it out. I'd email her and let her know that seeing the full creed with serial number is essential to authentication and request that photo. (She should revise the listing with a picture.)

If the bag is lacking a serial number (rather than being redacted), hit the back button.

ETA: If you request a pic, ask for it to be straight on. From the picture shown, the scale of the creed looks off to me. It appears to be wider and shorter than it should be.

Hmm. Another ETA:
I'm doubtful of cello850's items. In this listing, it appears that the serial number is either missing or photoshopped out but if you read the creed, the text says that the bag is made in the USA of twill fabric. And the bag shown in the pictures is not what 18711 is supposed to look like.

Something isn't right. Other opinions are welcome.

Pretty sure it's real, i just want confirmation. Attached pictures are photos the seller sent me after I requested them. The picture of the creed is not very good, but I think the first letter in the creed is an F?

It seems okay but she shouldn't be using a stolen stock picture in the listing without any of her own pics. (Stock pics shouldn't be used, period!)

ETA: all her listings use stock pictures. :(

I found this bag at my aunts house and was wondering if it was real. Im sorry but I do not know anything about it and all I have are pictures. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It looks like an authentic Beekman brief to me. I'm not very familiar with this style so you might want to wait for confirmation from Hyacinth or Demram.

Do you think I should ask her WHY she is using the stock pictures instead of her own? I haven't bid. not sure if I really trust her.

I think that being a newish seller, she may not know any better, but it makes me wonder where she is getting these items that she can sell them so cheap. The Isabelle has been deleted but I don't think that is true for some of her other items.

There are several reasons why a seller might use website/stock or even pictures "borrowed" from other sellers. A couple of the reasons are innocent enough but one is nefarious.

1. Many sellers don't realize that stock photos are copyrighted and not supposed to be used by others.

2. Most sellers aren't professional photographers and don't think their own pictures are good enough or they just think stock photos are better

3. Many sellers don't know how important it is for buyers to see the actual item, both to verify authenticity but also to see the condition

4. Many sellers don't realize how highly faked certain brands are

^^^ Those sellers usually just need enlightening as to why clear and definitive pictures are important

The following is the type of seller that you don't want:
5. Sometimes sellers of fakes use stock photos because they know their item would be reported and removed if they showed the actual item. So they show pictures of the actual style that their fake is trying to copy.

In this case, the seller sent you pictures when you asked for them and the pictures look fine.

If the seller were ever to read TPF or similar sites, she could be educated but it's up to buyers to recommend that to sellers.

What I can see looks ok but any time you post your own photos they need to be larger so we can see the important details. The briefcase was made in 1994.

I need clickable images. Can you post them in photobucket and provide a link? Interior, full creed, both sides and front and back. Thanks.

It looks like all the seller's Coach listings have been removed. But I agree about never trusting a seller who won't show clear readable photos of the creed and especially the serial number.

regarding seller cello850's listings, one of the bags was described as NWT but the tag wasn't shown. (This was the one "new" bag that included tags.) It was also the only bag that I thought may have been authentic

Someone requested a picture of the tag from that bag which the seller balked at sending. Finally, she did send and it confirmed that the bag was as fake as the others.

For those who missed the listings, here are some pictures of the bags with creeds that lacked serial numbers. Also shown is the tag from the other Coach bag.

This is the tag from the (described as "seafoam") leather Kristen. This bag had a "perfect" creed:

This is bag #1 which was questioned only because the creed was missing a serial number:

This is bag #2 which I later realized did NOT have the serial number photoshopped from the picture but was actually lacking the serial number and having inaccurate text:

Scary good fakes, except for the glam. It would have been so easy for them to make an authentic-looking price tag.
