I think Carol does older classic Coach. (She tries to do newer stuff too, but has made some awful mistakes with recent Coach items.)

Ah, hello world :smile1: ! I'm a sometime lurker and now new member; glad to be part of the madness ;)

I just purchased this bag from ebay. I tried to cross check it here, but am having doubts now... HERE is the picture of the serial tag from the inside. I requested a picture in a PM because it was not in the listing and it seemed important at the time (so that's why it's in a separate link).

I hope I got everything in the right place! Thanks for your help!

Ack, I don't know why the second pic is so little...I'll try to fix it...

Okay, it should be fine, let me know if there are any problems with the images ^_^

That is definitely not the right strap. The last picture looks like the interior of a brown Sophia, not a black one, but it could just be the color is off. Other than that, I don't see anything that proves that it isn't authentic.

Odd. Some of those pictures definitely look brown.

Same seller had this described as 18609 but creed shows 15960. That bag also has a shorter strap than the other listings.

I think the bag is authentic though I'm not sure it's black. I think it's mahogany.

And I'll say it again - NEVER DEPEND ON INFORMATION GIVEN BY COACH "REPS" OVER THE PHONE. Style number 9988 actually came out in Spring 1997 so the rep gave you the wrong info. It's much more likely that the style was discontinued in 2002 but it was NOT released in that year.

Any bags from seller " ucc.vintageclothing-2009 " need to be carefully authenticated. That's two they've listed that are bogus.

No creed stamp on this one. I've included photos, but I realize my lighting is not the best (and it's still dark here). The snap does say Coach on it, but it's hard to see in the photos due to the glare. If necessary I can take photos of it during the day later today if I can get home from work early enough.

It looks fine and appears to be style 1518. Many smaller items (wristlets, swingpacks, pouches, etc.) may or may not have creeds and those with creeds may or may not have serial numbers.
