Sure it could be, and it is. Back in the Vintage days those numbers were just glued on and they often came off and got lost. Check the Salearea Guide on Coach serial numbers:

The pouch is between 35 and 40 years old and has the right to look a little scuffed.

I have a question..is it true that I can take my authentic bags to any coach store and they will clean them?

My FP store will do it with Coach products but frankly there are better products to spiff up your bag with.

I did a Search of tPF and so far no one has complained about them. Their items are styles that have recently been sold at the Factory Store outlets. The bag looks good to me, but pay with a credit card if you can, just in case you find a problem when you receive it.
