Hi Hyacinth,

I just got this little bag today. Would you please authenticate it? I don't know the name of the bag. I've never seen a USA Coach with fabric lining.

Thanks!!

Comments: Could someone please take a look at this bag and give me an opinion? Also any other information such as a name and year would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

More pictures probably wouldn't help because I don't have a real bag to compare them to. Like I said, the only worry is the zipper and I'll take another look later if I have time. I wondered about the grommet colors too, one picture seems ok and the others look silvery.

The seller said the grommets are indeed silver as are the feet on the bag. She said she hadn't noticed it until I asked and is now wondering about the bag as well. I told her I would inquire here and let her know if, based on the hardware differences, this bag may not be authentic? I really don't mean to be a pest. :-/ Thank so much you for your opinions!

Again, I'm not personally familiar with the bag. You may want to post over at the Rehab & Rescue thread and mention that I suggested that you ask if any of the rehab pros have ever seen a 9966 Legacy Zip with silver-colored feet since we're not sure it's authentic. Refer or link to your original post so they can take a look too. I'm not feeling good about it since I've never seen silver-colored feet on bags that are supposed to have brass hardware.

Coach made quite a few styles with fabric linings beginning in the late 1990s. This one is genuine but I haven't found the name yet. My guess is that it might be some kind of Legacy West Flap.

Comments: Looks like a Carousel Bag 9942, but the interior zipper pull is different and the font for the numbers is very large.

As always huge thank you :smile1:

Fake - check the Fakes List under "Always fake" The style number doesn't belong to a bag and as you noticed the font of the serial number is too thick. Also a bag made in 1997 would never have said "Made in the United States" at the bottom of the creed or used the "scars, scratches..." wording in the creed body. There are a few other details they didn't get right.

I hope you weren't the "winning" bidder!

Thank you Hyacinth! I will do that. :-)

Thank you Hyacinth. Nope, no bid for me - too many red flags. I'll know for sure now just in case I see it re-listed so I can throw it on the fake board.

Dimensions: 8” tall (center), 9.5” tall (side), 4” deep (bottom), 9.5" wide

Comments: I don’t know if you will be able to give an opinion on this bag because the creed patch is illegible. The bag is in poor condition because the piping is split in a few places, but I figured that for $1 I could always reuse the strap and the handtag if I can't repair it. I will post the best pics I could get of the creed in the next message. If you'd like me to try and get more photos just let me know. The bag has a YKK zipper but I know that's not definitive. Thanks for your help.
