It looks like a genuine Embossed Patent Op Art Leah Tote - I think it's the medium size, notice that the 37-inch removeable shoulder strap isn't in the photos. If you need it, ask the seller if it's included.

Comments. Thrown off by the first 3 digits of the serial having the number first. Several others of this style on ebay were like this...some weren't. Was it a mistake or are they fake. 15 dollars is a steal for this bag if it's authentic.

these are the 2 pics the owner emailed me when i inquired about wanting to see the creed and inside.

The Sheridans are known for this. I have a Sheridan made in the same plant and in the same year with the exact same mistake.

I have several Sheridans and even a Sonoma with similar "flips" in the serial prefixes. It's also mentioned in at least 2 of the Salearea Guides posted at Ebay:

"Some plants simply ignored the "rules" - early 1990s Dakota pebbled leather bags had creeds but no serial numbers, some Sheridans had numbers and some didn't, and the codes for the month and the year sometimes were reversed by plant personnel in both Sheridans and Sonomas..."

Please ignore any "guides" that claim that Coach never made mistakes with serial numbers, especially when it involved a new plant recently opened outside the US and where English wasn't the primary language. Mistakes were sometimes made in formatting and in month codes. Bags with those mistakes should be authenticated by an expert, but they should never be assumed to be fake or be reported as fake without expert opinions.

All are genuine. The second is probably from a 1998 line named Westport but I don't know anything else about it. The third one was from a newly opened DR plant and has an incorrect month code but the bag seems to be a genuine Legacy Medium Studio Flap.

The red one and the POS dark brown or black are fake.
