We need to see the bag to make any informed decision.

Are you speaking of the navy blue Stewardess that is currently listed on ebay with this information on the creed: C9B-9525?

If so, the slip pocket on that one is in the front - not the back.

Yes I was. At first glance it appeared to be the rear. Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.

Yes, I am talking about that very listing. Taking a 2nd look; you are absolutely correct. That pocket is on the back... Otherwise, the flap showing should be the suede side of the front leather flap.

So my original question stands. Did Coach ever make a stewardess bag with a rear flap? Otherwise, do we have a counterfeit?

The question should be - did they make a stewardess with a back pocket in 1999?

I have not followed the changes or lack of changes in the Stewardess bag since 1977.

The one in question appears to be an authentic Stewardess Bag from 1999.

My comments are my personal opinion and many years of buying Coach.

You can choose to ignore my opinion.

I don't have any opinion either since I don't have any early 1999 catalogs, and the catalogs don't show the backs of the bags anyway.

ETA - but so far I haven't found another 9525 with an outside back pocket.
