I've compared an authentic black Convertible Clutch that I currently own to the one I just received: • please Note Size difference in D rings between authentic Convertible Clutch and other.
• Comparison plastic bolt snap to Coach authentic brass bolt snap connector*
• Authentic Convertible Clutch on the right (last picture) has a slip pocket under the flap while the other does not.
• zip pull inside questionable on this style?

I wasn't sure about this, mainly because of the way that the emblem seems off center. I'm used to seeing this emblem usually centered over the pleats- for instance if it hangs off one pleat, it also hangs off the one on the opposite side by an equal amount. Another thing I noticed was that the pleats on the left side appear to be wider than those on the right side of the emblem.

One other thing- when I start at either end and count the number of pleats inward toward the emblem, I end up with not quite 1 on the left side and 2 full ones leftover on the right side of the emblem.

Also, it's allegedly "new with tags" but the style number is given of the new version of the wallet with the smaller emblem vs. the older one which this appears to be.

I know that the gathered items have been faked well, so I'm super paranoid about this...

The strap and clip have probably been replaced. When something removeable like a strap or hangtag or even a D-ring doesn't match the rest of the bag, that doesn't prove the bag's fake, just that the part may have been replaced at some time.

The missing under-flap pocket is a bigger problem. If the bag's fake, that's the only proof of it, and remember, there's always a remote possibility that Coach made a similar style to the Convertible Clutch but without the pocket under the front flap. I haven't found any in my catalogs but only have a few for the entire time period from the mid-70s to the late 1980s. There don't seem to be any other obvious problems, and you've owned other versions of that style, I haven't. You're probably more qualified to say what's wrong about it than I am.
