I am cleaning out my stash of excess purses at my husbands request before I add any new bags. While trying to research my different bags I came across this one and I can't find any information for the serial number. I believe this is one of my ebay finds as I do not have an original receipt for it like I do my other bags.

I thought it was a Coach Bleeker Small Shoulder Flap but the number of the bag matches non that I could find on this site, past ebay sales and the dreaded google search. Before listing I want to be sure its 100% authentic.

sorry about the size of the photos I resized them twice in photo bucket yet I still see them very large.

It's authentic and is some type of bleecker flap bag but I can't find anything with that style number either. It looks similar to style 11427 which is called a bleecker small flap hobo. Your bag might be a slightly different sized bag but the same style.

Thank you BeenBurned. From what I can tell she is about the same size as the 1142 but a different shade then that of those with the same style number.

I appreciate all the help you ladies lend.

I'm entering the Creed # and not having any other bags come up with this # online, but it sure looks and feels real, and I assume it should be from 1994?

It's distinguishing features are the side panels are narrower at bottom, then widen as it goes up to the top of the bag, then the strap starts wide and gets narrower again at the apex where the shoulder should be. I see styles like this on ebay all the time, but again, the creed # mystery happens.

Dimensions at widest are 10.5" wide, about 10.5 tall, and 5" deep at bottom. Strap drop as pictured is about 18" (crossbody) Creed # says C4C-4128 but is hard to read. Thanks for your help!

Comments: I was under the impression that 9525 is the serial number for the Stewardess. Is this a fake?

Yes, 9525 should be a Stewardess bag.

That has the wrong style number and I've never seen that zipper pull on an authentic Coach bag.

There is probably something else I missed...but definitely wait for Hyacinth to comment.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum. I've purchased this bag recently on eBay and was told by a friend that vintage Coach bags should cost a lot more than what I've paid for and now I'm worried the authenticity of this bag. Can you please authenticate it for me? Thanks in advance! :D

I'd like to see a better creed picture but so far, it looks good. It's some type of Hamptons carryall.
It looks genuine, and you're correct about the year.
Wow. That's a seriously worn-down creed stamp. So far I haven't found a style that matches either number 9010 or 9910 - 9010 belongs to a kind of duffle sac but it should be suede, not smooth leather, and 9910 doesn't fit the style at all. I've searched for every "duffle" in my files that ends in a zero and can't find anything except a Maggie Duffle that matches the measurements but the number of the Maggie is 9019, and the last digit in the bag's serial number just doesn't look like a 9. Of the first 3 digits all that's readable is a "D" plant code.

I'm just not comfortable giving an opinion on that one. Maybe someone more familiar with Duffle styles might take a look?

Thanks both of you! The sellers of both the duffle and hampton can't provide better pics of the creeds. Oh well!

Your friend isn't really correct, there are no "accepted ranges" for vintage bags, it all depends on condition, demand, color, and a lot more variables. "Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it" is the ONLY criterion to determine what price any used item should sell for.

Also technically speaking if we use 20 years or older as the time period for a bag to be considered Vintage, this one isn't, since it was supposedly made in 1996 according to the year code in the serial number.

There are a few things worrying me though. None of them are solid proof of authenticity or lack of it but they'd make me hesitate to bid on that bag. One is the plant code "J", while it may possibly have been used in US-made bags (or Chinese-made bags marked Made in the United States), it's usually used as a plant code for Chinese-made bags from about 2001 or later.

The position of the strap mountings (the leather tabs on the sides of the bag that hold the D-rings that the strap clips attach to) is lower than on other Court Bags I've seen, the strap clips themselves are almost but not quite identical to the ones used by Coach, and I've never seen nickle hardware used on a bag from as early as 1996. The earliest I can find nickle hardware offered as an alternate to brass is sometime in early to mid 1998 and then only on a few colors like black, gray and lavender. Camel wasn't available with Nickle according to the catalogs until late 1998 or early 1999, and the Camel color itself wasn't even available in 1996. The color MAY be a light version of British Tan but the bag in the photo looks more like Camel. British Tan almost always used Brass hardware.

As I said, there's no solid black-on-white proof that your bag isn't genuine, but there are too many questions and discrepancies for me to think that it is, sorry. If it's counterfeit, it's an extremely "good" one but we've seen a lot of very accurate Coach counterfeits before.

Found this Coach Bleeker tote with an extra little addition under the inner zip pocket flap. Bontex is a company that makes a product called Mori-Fresh that prevents mold and fungi type of growths in leather goods.
Darn, I was going to grow mushrooms in this one!!!;)
