Good evening all!
Was wondering if you could authenticate this Craigslist ad...looks a bit off to me, the C is weird... And not symmetrical...trying to get buyer to send a better pic of the creed as well.

Anyhow here is the link, not sure what the bag is called...

http://fayetteville.craigslist.org/clo/3107505301.html

It's called "Cheap Horrible Fake". Please report it as "Prohibited" to Craigslist.

The crooks didn't even bother to use a serial number.

Hyacinth,

I've noticed that in my vintage bags that still have paperwork with them, several references have been made on the registration cards to a book called "The Factory" that you could order when you registered your bag.

The card reads:

"Over 100 striking photographs taken in the Coach Factory have been published in a beautiful 76-page library edition entitled "THE FACTORY". If you enclose $2.00 with your Registration Form, we will be happy to send you a copy of this handsome book."

Do you have a copy of "The Factory" / have you ever seen it? :smile1:

I'm not Hyacinth but I do have the book.

It may still be available from various book sellers.

The Carriage Embossing & Signature Looks Fine and so the rest, but I suggest you to wait for the real experts on this Forum.

Thank you very much. It is just so clean and looks untouched. Weird, I know. Everyone should get a bag that is so perfect.

I noticed just a little misalignment of the fabric at the top left. The other bags I see on the bay have silver hardware and this one has brass. Does that just vary with date? I need to find the exact same numbers to compare.

N/M I found a brass trimmed one. I feel better now.

A lot of those fakes are around here. I just clicked "Prohibited" on Craigslist.

I do too. Try Amazon, sometimes the used book sellers will have a copy.

Do an Ebay search. Bags made for the Outlet like yours orn for a specific retailer may have different hardware.

Different bags.

Thanks for all your help ladies. So what I have is a Companion Bag and all those listed on eBay are basically Companion Flaps?

Companion Bag and Companion Flap:

Well, since you seem to know more than we do about the style number, maybe you can post a photo of style # 3722 so we can add it to our files?

We'll be waiting eagerly for that photo.

I had 2 "Zipper Companions" as the one in the provided picture with the number style 3722. Please correct me if I have the wrong style name.
