OK, this is what got me started yesterday with the burgundy Rambler's Legacy verification-I got on the Way Back machine to verify the color combination for this one as I was unfamiliar with it-it's there for 2001 and got off on a tangent with the Legacy. I have already bought and paid for this, but if it's not too much trouble

I verified with the seller that the # L1P-9951. It was kind of an impulse purchase as the auction was almost ending-I actually thought I was going to get it for $19.99 since it was so poorly listed-it's under unknown collectibles, not handbags. I know the creed picture is not really legible so I imagine you'll want to hold off, but I thought it looked OK enough to risk.

None of the above - it's from the Manhattan Business Collection. I don't have a specific name for it but Manhattan Tote would be my guess. It's from the same time period as the Bridle Collection but isn't described in any of the catalogs in my files. It seems to have been a small group of highline business-type bags in the Business and Travel collection aimed mainly at the female market.

Thanks so much! Very, very helpful. :smile1:

It seems ok. Nice condition too, especially for the price. :smile1:

I just measured the bag and your dimensions are right it is an 11x11x4 inches, would you by any chance know a way to find out what this bag might have retailed at?? I was also wondering if there is a way to get a replacement Coach hang tag for the bag??

Thank you so much for the help I am totally excited :smile1:. Now off tho the rehab thread to find out how to clean and condition her

It probably sold for somewhere around $230. You can call Coach with the serial number and ask about a replacement hangtag but if the correct color isn't available they may just send you a metal one.

Hi, could you please authenticate this Coach Signature Hobo Handbag F17093?

Just quite confused with the Plastic that wrapped the Buckle at Photo no.1 below & the loosen thread on bottom of the creed (under the no.0) at photo no.3 :

I don't see any problems although it's the first time I've seen that clear protector over the buckle. And loose threads sometimes happen, Coach doesn't get too fussy about that kind of mistake.

No, you're not seeing double...
Can you please authenticate this Coach Leatherware Bag also?
I've had this one since 2006, before I kept records of prices, etc.
Approx: 7.5"w x 8"h x 2.25"d Strap drop 24 (slightly different than the brown one)
Is it a Compact Pouch #9620? Can you approximate age?
Thanks again...in advance!

Yes, and some time between 1988 and maybe 1991 or 92 when it seems to have been discontinued.

It's been in my collection since 2007, paid $7.99 at Goodwill.
Approx. 7"w x 8"h x 2"d Strap drop 22"

As always, Thanks in advance!

Coach sometimes changed strap lengths. Same as the other but maybe late 70s to 1987.

I checked mine, and my black and burgandy totes have straps almost exactly one inch, but the orange one has wider straps at 1 and 1/8 inch. The orange one also has a metal kisslock on the front, whereas the other two were leather covered. I'm wondering if the orange one is older? I'm just curious about them all. They are such a great style, so useable and beautiful, and the leather is just fabulous. Mahogany or similar would be gorgeous too

My Skinny Tote is a very dark brown that I originally thought was mahogany - but I don't think it is. I'm not sure of the actual color name that Coach used for mine.

Also, the actual width of the straps on mine are not consistent. Depending on where I measure the strap varies from 7/8 of an inch to exactly 1 inch.

hmm...maybe we need to start a slim tote comparison thread, I'm getting curiouser and curiouser.

I seriously love mine, and I kind of purchased it more as a collectible that I might carry sometimes, but I bet I end up using it a lot!

Hi Hyacinth,

Please see attached additional photos of this bag and let me know your thoughts. Thank you so much! I do find the coloring inside the bag to be a little weird (like red velvet cup cake), but I am not sure if that is me wanting a sprinkles or the bag.....

:)

I really need to see more photos especially of the inside and the creed stamp. I'm also concerned that the strap wasn't made by Coach, and there are other details that need more investigation. If it's something you're thinking of buying or bidding on you really need to wait until you get more photos.

And please read post number 1 in this thread for a list of what other information we need, Thanks!
