It's so great to be able to have access to experts who can authenticate a bag - and spot a fake, to save prospective buyers time and money.

Hyacinth, thank you.

More reason to listen when we keep telling people NEVER to depend that a seller or poster had posted a serial number correctly - and for posters to double-check when they post information.

There's a BIG difference between K5P- and K9P- as a Coach serial number. If that Willis had a K5P- number it would be fake. The bag in the photo is genuine.

Please always include a clear readable photo of the creed when asking for authentication or identification.

I'm a bit uncomfortable with shoppingwithodeelia-uk because I'm not convinced that the seller uses her own pictures. Her listings and her blog show items with different backgrounds, different photographing styles and different listing styles. Additionally, several of her items don't even show actual pictures, but instead use only the copyrighted stock photos stolen from the designers' websites.

Are you the seller? http://forum.purseblog.com/burberry...-use-format-post-717899-137.html#post21541922

Hi Thanks for your reply and concern. I hv bought buckleigh burberry and its genuine with tag attached and provided with the burberry paperbag. Well I am not sure if different backgrounds and photography affect the product that they are selling but I guess maybe they want to have variety background.

I am happy with my purchases from odeelia. :smile1:

Cheers..

Best regards,

It's a shame you didn't leave feedback for them. A newbie seller with low feedback needs that glowing feedback you'd provide. :graucho:

Yes it is indeed a shame because i collected the bag ie i did not pay via ebay/paypal. I pmed them and requested for cash on delivery as I wanted to see the bag if it is authentic or not.

However, good points and advises taken from you . Thank you so much!
:hugs:

I took a chance for $8 that this is real, but I don't think I've seen this type of bag before. The Creed (if authentic) seems to be pre 1994 so figure I"d check before slaving away to clean and fix her. Notable feauture: the band/strap that continues around the bag perimeter almost like the crossbody strap continues itself around. Crossbody is permanently affixed to bag with brass rectangular hardware

Dimensions: about 8.5 x 8.5x3 Strap Drop varies abut 17 to 22"
Creed # says: 070-9904 (they look like "c" rather than "0"s in the photo

It's a cousin of the one I ID'd for JOODLZ here, notice the difference in the shape of the flap:

Yours is also from the Lightweight line but it's a Tailored Pouch style 4110 from around 1989-1990.

Hello! This bag was already authenticated here, ty again! I was curious as to whether the description was correct. Also, I was wondering if that handle type is indeed called “paddle handles”. Also, is this bag type considered a briefcase or tote? The seller may be a tPF member too, judging from the description. :J
TIA for any help! So much to learn…
COACH VINTAGE EARLY 1970s BAG BONNIE CASHIN DESIGN
This authentic, early 1970s, Bonnie Cashin designed bag for Coach is a classic shape. It’s a desirable tobacco tan leather and in excellent, almost mint condition. Coach creed, made in New York City, and, just in case you question its authenticity, I lifted the following information from the Purse Forum website: “There are some early to mid 70’s bags that have the Coach Creed and an obviously glued-on serial mark that was added to the bag after it was manufactured. You can see that the serial number was applied to a leather strip and then placed under the Coach Creed in these early purses. Sometimes the strip with the number would come loose or fall off leaving just a strip of bare leather where the number should be.” The bag measures 13” across, 7 ¼” high and 2 ½” wide. The padded handles measure approximately 12” long.
