Purchased this bag a few days ago.. Just wanted to see if it was authentic and if you knew the style of the bag and maybe around when it was made.. Can't find it anywhere online. Thanks so much in advance!

Item: unknown

Seller: local second hand clothing store

If it measures about 9x7 it was called a Saddle Bag, style number 9851, and was probably made around 1990 or 1991.

Don't bother searching online for vintage Coach bags, they usually won't be there, especially if you're searching for the serial number.

I stumbled upon this Coach bag on rehashclothes.com. The swapper says that it's authentic. I have my doubt, because of this reference line.

"DEJ-9816 and ECC-9816 - fake prefix and incorrect suffix, 9816 belongs only to a "classic" Duffle Sac and DEJ- and EEC- will never appear in genuine Coaches"

Any thoughts?

The Willis Creed is, K5P 9927, color is black, hardware appears to be nickel.

The red smaller bad creed is K6D 9990.

Thank you!

I don't know if I'm missing something but I'm only seeing one listing. The brown soho "wannabe" is fake and I recommend you refer the seller here.

If there's another bag with the serial number that begins with ECC, that prefix would be invalid also. But without seeing it, it's possible that the seller mistyped the serial number.

ETA: Never mind. I reread your post and you were quoted from Daria's guide. Again, the guide is correct and the bag you're asking about is fake. (Is there a way to report fakes on that site?)

We REALLY need to actually see the creed on the Willis since there are several problems with that number being in the bag you show especially if it has silver hardware. If I had to decide whether or not to buy that bag based only on the description and serial number, I'd hit the Back button.

The red one looks like a genuine Small Framed Pouch.

what if it doesn't have a serial number?

Is that a rhetorical question, or does it actually not have a serial number? That would surprise me, it seems like leaving the serial numbers out of smaller bags came along more recently than 2002, but I could be wrong. I would like to see the entire creed patch though.
