Well I looked at your link but that isn't either one of the bags I asked about. I do see how I may have been overlooked as the pictures are similar but by someone else and about another bag. I posted pictures of a black Legacy(?) and a red Hobo bucket (?) with creed #' G1D-9058 and D1D-9823. I don't know how to link to those pictures but they were posted right before the one you posted this link to. :-)

Item:Vintage Navy Coach Shoulder Bag
Listing No: N/A on Etsy
Seller:LITTLETUNA

Comments: I do not know this style and there is no creed pic, when asking for one, I never got it, but she says it's from the 60's. :smile1:

We need to see the area on the back inside panel where the creed stamp normally would be to see if there's anything indicating the bag is a Coach and from what time period it is.

Unfortunately without some kind of permanent mark or emblem there's no way to verify that it's even a Coach product - a hangtag just isn't enough. And there was nothing else marked on Coach bags from the days before plaques or creeds that can prove authenticity. Any well-made generic bag could pass for a Coach - counterfeiting them was almost unheard-of, and although it's a style Coach probably made back then it's almost certain that other companies did too.

Buyers pretty much have to trust to luck and the honesty of the seller.

Item: Navy Bag NYC Vintage
Seller:Onlyzfinest
Listing No: 320885521704
Link:http://www.ebay.com/itm/32088552170...AX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_500wt_1079
Comments: Been looking for a navy bag, have no experience with vintage. Much appreciated!!

It looks genuine but I can't quite identify it. From the pictures and the seller's measurements it's just a bit too square to be a Classic Shoulder Bag which is the closest style to this one. But it was made between the mid to late 1970s and about 1897.

Item: Coach Saddle Bag Rare 70's
Seller: Magnolia Vintage Co.

Comments: Your Help is always appreciated. Is this authentic and also is it a Cashin style? I asked for a better creed pic and she sent it right away, I just don't know how to paste here, but the creed is here: https://www.etsy.com/conversations/image?convo_id=78385944&image_id=16610421&image_type=full

Thanks in advance as always!:smile1:

BTW - I was refunded for my fake, but sadly it's back on Ebay for twice the amount.....WOW:cursing:

It may have been designed while Cashin worked for Coach, but from the creed it was made after she'd left. The bag is a genuine Courier Pouch, style 8920.
