It's genuine, made sometime between the mid-70s and 1987.

The Purse Charm is fake. The color of the "antique-ing" is wrong - it usually is on the fakes. The charm should have a dogleash clip, the font of the Coach logos on the hangtags is wrong, the rings of the chain are thin and cheap and much too oval-shaped. Here's the real one:

We'd have to see the creed stamp to confirm, but what I can see looks ok. The color was Camel, and it was priced at $268 in 1999.

And I agree with BeenBurned about that Ebay Guide link posted in your blog, it damages your credibility just by being there. The seller (who shortly after posting it was permanently banned from Ebay) not only stole much of the information from another seller's posts and Fake Serial Numbers Guide but was also one of the most unpleasant, nasty and just plain vicious posters ever encountered, here or anywhere else. She was banned from tPF within a week of joining and was responsible for the almost complete destruction of Ebay's Shoes and Purses forum. Please remove it ASAP.

If you want an accurate Guide written by someone who actually did their own research instead of stealing someone else's work, please post the one BeenBurned mentioned.

When you click on "REPLY", the box that comes up has a small "paperclip" icon that you can click on to attach pictures - IF your pictures are small enough.

If your pictures are larger, you will need to upload them to Photobucket (or any FREE image hosting site) and then copy and paste the IMG link.
