"X" was also used for a Dominican Republic plant too so the X code is still a bit flaky when the bag is stamped from the US. Again, I don't know to what extent Coach re-used plant codes once a plant had been shut down or taken "off the Coach grid" since some of these plants probably didn't even belong to Coach, they may have just been lease or co-production deals with some local factory which was given a dormant or temporary code or whose code was re-used once the arrangement was over.

What's a much bigger problem is that Ergos were WIDELY faked. The official introduction of that Ergo line and that style number sequence (90xx) didn't happen until very early 1997 according to all my catalogs from that time. I've seen what may have been pre-production or Pilot Ergo style 9033's stamped for both April and September 1996, but this red one is dated January 1995 and that just doesn't seem possible. My gut says Fake on this one but there's really no valid proof except a serial number and month code that's 2 years before the official introduction of the style.

I know I wouldn't risk bidding on it.

I see what looks like a price tag, but I don't see any hangtags. Those are an important part of the bag and a NWT bag should have them. The seller hasn't posted any photo of the creed patch either, and if they advertise NWT they should at least photograph the item and color codes from the price tag.

Wait for more opinions, but we'll need to see a clear creed photo, and you also need to ask about the hangtags. I think the way that the pleats aren't centered correctly would bother me too, the Carriage emblem should have been at the lowest point of the pleats curve but the pleats aren't aligned exactly right. In fact they should dip down under the Carriage, like this picture from Coach's files. The other ones on Ebay all look like Coach's photo. I can't imagine a bag that's so different from the others in that style - my own advice would be to NOT buy that particular bag:

I can only help with the Coaches. The small multicolor accessory bag is fake - the fabric doesn't line up, the serial number is invalid, etc. But the dark tan leather bag is genuine. It's called a Soho Lafayette Bag and was made in 1998.

I apologize for not responding but there are a few things that bother me about that listing.

1. Fairly well-faked and highly faked style
2. Newbie seller without proven history (not necessarily a red flag but when combined with other questions, it's a concern
3. She says it's a Christmas gift from last year and whether she means Christmas, 2011 or 2010, the bag would have been 1.5-2.5 years old by either Christmas, thus unlikely it would have been in stores that long
4. "NWOT" is another red flag - many counterfeit sites and sellers have fakes without tags
5. The reference the seller makes to looking on the Coach website for the bag shows a different style number to look at. (And it doesn't come up when you click the link.)

Personally, there are enough questions that I wouldn't buy it.

I only recognize the worst fakes of LV, Dior and Gucci and can tell you that the Dior and LVs are fake. The first Gucci is fake but the last one (vintage) might be okay. (You should visit the other AT brand sub-forums for confirmation.)

As Hyacinth said, the scribble bag is fake.
