Unless it was a Pilot Bag it would be very surprising for a bag made supposedly in October of 2005 to have a 5-number style code since the 5th digit was only added around mid-2006 although many of those bags would have been made several months before. Same with the Legacy Stripe lining, it was only officially introduced in late Summer/Fall of 2006 for Coach's 65th Anniversary. And if there actually ARE spaces between some of the numbers, that's another problem.

BTW, searching the internet for serial numbers to prove authenticity usually doesn't work. Ask here. A number on its own without a photo showing the bag AND the entire creed proves absolutely nothing, many fakes have valid serial numbers.

I asked and she sent me these pix. What do you guys think? I honestly have a good feeling about it, but NEVER seen Coach bags in this shade. And if this is a FAKE, then ...WOW I'm amazed

The only thing I can think of especially after seeing those extra seams on the front pocket - see how the C's aren't lined up along them exactly just to the left of the turnlock? is that it's one of those oddball Patchwork styles from 2006-07 that were discussed here at tPF several years ago - there's even a mention of the style number, but no pictures of the bags.

I found a small photo each of 2 bags with the style numbers right before this one (10371 and 10372) in a Japanese catalog I have from 2007, they show the same extra seams and were sold with Legacy Stripe ponytail scarves so they probably also had Legacy linings in at least part of the bag. I remember that kind of half-patchwork design on some US bags during that same time but don't remember or can't find pictures of any with Legacy linings. There was one that was just discussed somewhere within maybe the last few weeks that only one of us - can't remember who - had any records of and it's style number 10371 and has the same semi-patchwork fabric as the one you're asking about, I've posted the only photo available. It was called a Legacy Slim Flap Limited Edition so apparently there was a Legacy lining or scarf with it.

So yours is probably genuine, but I'm still very surprised that it was made so far ahead of the actual Legacy intro. It may have been a Japan-only bag or was released in Japan months before its US release. That's all a guess but it's all I know right now.

Dear BeenBurned and Hyacinth, those are probably all the pictures she could send to me. I've been asked her very details and request photos 2 times, so it would be quite irritating for her by now ( I guess). I also find that legacy flap is the closest one to her bag, but nowhere has it in her color. Everything about it look so real otherwise. Maybe I should invest in buying this bag for examination:laugh: THANK YOU so muchh for helping me, you guys are the best

Both the bag and the keychain are authentic.
