Hi everyone! Thanks for offering these authentications--I'm very new to bag authentication (my area of expertise is premium denim) so please excuse any royally stupid questions!

I'm looking for authentication on this wristlet I found at my friendly neighborhood Plato's. I previously found an authentic Soho wallet there, so they sometimes have hidden treasures...not so sure about this one though.

Item Name (if you know it): Coach Soho? Signature Wristlet
Link (if available): n/a
Then attach any photos (all authentication must include photos.)

(Sorry about the poor quality--my flash obliterated most of the color, so it's actually somewhat brighter in color than it appears. Of course, if you need more pictures, I can provide them ASAP)

Made in Korea! 5 digit serial number! Both are indications of a FAKE.

:smile1:

Wow, thanks for the info. I had a feeling it didn't look right but I am no expert at all when it comes to Coach. Guess that is why I got burnt with one transaction and thanks to you all I got in touch with eBay. Glad to know you gals are around to help people like me. You all deserve
Thank you, Pat

Some kind of Soho Mini Sig Skinny Wristlet, probably. It looks ok but I can't find a photo or name for it, but it may have been made for the outlets and most of the time information on those items is harder to find.

More opinions are welcome.

Thanks, Hyacinth! (and of course the more opinions, the better!) I figured it was probably an outlet offering...in premium-denim-speak we've been calling those types of items "straight-to-discount," since they head straight to lower-priced venues (Off 5th, The Rack, Last Call, TJs...) or the manufacturers' outlets. Not that I care, really--it's enough that I got it cheap and it matches the dress I'm wearing to a wedding this weekend! ;)

It's a cute accessory - items from the outlets often have a variety in colors and features that you may not be able to find at the full-price stores, and the prices are easier to live with. If some of the fabrics are recycled from previous seasons, no big deal as long as you like the color or pattern.

Item: Coach Bag (Poppy Groovy ?!?)
Seller: SA - $15

Comments: I found this bag at my local SA today. I was so surprised to see it there and in such good condition that I immediately thought it must be fake. However, after picking it up it seems (and even smells!) like it may be authentic. The lining is a beautiful purple color. Thanks in advance!!!!

Edited to add: sorry for the crappy pics. My camera/home computer are both not working very well, so I tried some pics with my blackberry. The creed is hard to read but the number is D0973-13850. If additional pics would help, please let me know and I'll try my best!

I was wondering if you could help me with a purse I received in the mail today. I probably jumped the gun and made my first rookie mistake...however, if the purse is not authentic, I am going to try and return it. I got in the mail today and it feels a little...rubbery and has a weird smell to it. Also, the zipper doesn't flow very smooth...but I am new to this so I thought I would check with you all. The serial code does have the space between the C and the 8. Thanks for the help! Have really appreciated all the great info on here!

Item: Not sure, a small-ish shoulderbucket bag
Seller: Unique Thrift Store
Comments/pictures: So, I was at a local thrift store earlier today (where I accidentally posted in the wrong authenticity thread...not sure how to delete my post!) and found this bag. I'd been to this store one previous time, where I'd spotted several fake bags (Coach and others), so my gut reaction is that this is a fake bag as well. For some reason I just couldn't put it down, so I did buy it...for $13, plus Mondays are 25% off so not a huge loss. Though, there are several black pen marks on the bag that I'll have to figure how to get out (if it's real). So, here are the pictures!

It's some kind of Soho Bucket from 1997. I've seen other photos of the same style and all the details match but I've never found a name for it. It's genuine though. :smile1:

I can't feel it or smell it but from what I can see the bag looks like a genuine Wendie Zip from 1998. What you're describing could be the result of whatever might have been used to clean or maybe even re-dye the bag. The lighter dyed leathers sometimes tended to feel different from colors that needed different methods of coloring and processing like tans and browns but that's just something I've noticed and not something verified by other sources. BTW, spaces between serial number digits don't prove OR disprove authenticity. There was a huge variation in how creeds and numbers were stamped, every plant's stamp looked different.

More opinions would help.
