Some older alleged Coach found in the wild while looking for a replacement strap for another bag. There are some off-kilter things about each - would appreciate a trained opinion re auth/ID before I send them to the "parts" bin (ie handbag death by slow dismemberment

Don't relegate any of them to the Parts Bin just yet. I hope you haven't discarded bags in the past because of the same apparent problems.
Numbers sometimes were crooked.
Numbers sometimes had 8 digits.
In a few cases, plant codes were discontinued and then re-used.

1- Genuine Large Plaza Bag style 9865 from the late 1980s-early 90s. Please read the Salearea Guide at Ebay about serial numbers and especially the mention of missing hyphens - in fact, read ALL of them, especially if you've formed the impression that older Coaches were perfect and followed exact "Rules"

2- Genuine Madison Satchel, probably mid to late-1980s
Again, read the Salearea Guides

3- The "M" code was retired when that particular Costa Rica plant closed but apparently was later re-activated for use by one of the US plants. It's appeared in a number of genuine bags and that bag looks like a genuine Sidepack to me.

#1: I don't recommend loveorange133 because every one of her Coach listings use pictures that were stolen from other websites, other sellers or are stock pictures taken from Coach. Never buy from sellers who don't show the actual item you will receive. Otherwise, there's no way of knowing what you'll receive.

#2: Looks okay so fake but a picture of the creed is necessary for authentication.

I asked owner about it and she had said she just conditioned it. So I don't know if that was pre picture or post picture..hmmm

Actually, those Legacy bags were made of a distressed-type leather that was supposed to show all the scratches and wear and were NOT supposed to be conditioned. Whatever she put on it made things a lot worse. I hope you didn't buy it.

Something doesn't feel right but I am hoping I am wrong. Seller sells a lot of Coach and all of it is claimed to be brand new, purchased at the Coach store. Even though this bag is from 2008 :?:
The descriptions of the bags seem copied and the rest is written in poor grammar. I do not mean to poke fun at anyone with bad grammar but I got burned by a situation very similar to this and don't want to again. Thanks to anyone who can take a look.
