It looks ok and so does the coin purse

Thank you so much Hyacinth but i was not lucky. I use the buy it now option but unfortunately I could not check out due to a technical glitch. By the time ebay support came up with a solution for my seller and I, someone beat me to it! So disappointed. I don't think I can find such a good deal as this what with the free international shipping. Whaooo.. But I am keeping my fingers crossed on another one I'm watching :)

Thanks a million Hyacinth. I am waiting for the seller to provide me this info. I could barely read the creed on this bag with my glasses. I purchased this with minutes on left on the clock. I figured if it wasn't legit I would most definitely be getting a refund. Thanks for the info on the hangtag. That part worried me.

Cute bag! I have reglued several hangtags that have separated on vintage bags and it's easy. I use an inexpensive fabric glue that I bought at Joann's Fabrics - it says that it will work on leather on the package. I use a sturdy toothpick to spread the glue onto one half of the hangtag and then I stick both parts together, being careful to line up the edges as close as possible.

I usually stick the tags between the pages of the dictionary and let the glue dry overnight, but with a red colored tag I would be worried about getting print ink on the tag. I would probably put it in a small baggie or something before putting it in the dictionary. If a little glue leaks out around the edges, it is easy to roll it off with your fingernail after it dries. Good luck!

The Legacy Zip looks genuine but it seems too far gone for a rehab - wait for more opinions.

If the smaller tan bag doesn't have a creed stamp and serial number, I need to know the measurements. Thanks!

Thanks so much. The seller sent me these two addtl pics of the creed:
#0444-315. This has the horizontal lines on the top and bottom. Does this always mean fake? I'm thinking it is fake.

Thanks so much!

As long as the bags are not seriously damaged - rips, tears, piping worn through, massive stains , or mildew - they can probably be salvaged.

It looks like the stitching on the inside pocket of the legacy zip is unraveling but a cobbler could repair that easily (and probably cheaply. )

I have rehabbed some bags that looked as bad as that (or worse!) and they come out looking a whole lot better. Not pristine but I feel very comfortable wearing them.

Post links to your pics in the Rehab and Rescue thread to get advice from TPF rehabbers; there have been quite a few Legacy Zip rehab projects:

Good luck!

Thanks for the input! I'm not expecting the bags to come out looking sparkling new but I think it would be a neat project. There are only $10 bucks so I figure no big loss :p I will definitely look into those threads you suggested!

Wait for Hyacinth and DemRam on the other bag. This one is definitely fake. It has an invalid serial number from Hyacinth's list.

Look closely at the creed and see the spelling of SCRTCHES.

Although not the entire list of invalid/fake serial numbers, this post is useful and educational: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-sh...enticity-questions-94198-37.html#post18503288

The top one is fake. This is why we always tell buyers to get a close readable photo of the creed and serial number before bidding. That serial number always means fake, the lines above and below the numbers can be in both fake and genuine bags.

The second one looks like a genuine Prairie Bag.

so can someone help me...i am confused... which one of these is the mandy and what is the other one? they are so similar, i think im losing my legacy-loving mind :) if there is another location I should post this, please let me know!

This one says MANDY:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-Coach-L...874?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item3cc04a84ba

This one says SATCHEL:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-BLACK...734?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item5ae2400b9e

They're two totally different styles. The top one has a single strap and was called a Mandy LEATHER COURIER, NOT a Satchel. The second has TWO straps and the special Legacy lining which makes it a Legacy Satchel. Don't try to compare bags unless they have the same style numbers. And don't ever assume that every seller knows the correct name and designation of the bags they're selling.

Mandy is just the model name, like Prius.
