Comments: Please authenticate. I bought this. If authentic it is a Duffle Sac - 1996. I have wanted one of these really badly. I thought it looked o.k. It has some problems. At the very top left of the flap/creed pocket the leather on the piping is different. It is shinier Does this explain why it has an outlet symbol? It also has some significant wear that is not in the listing...but, that is a separate issue. I am attaching pictures that I took.TIA

Can't say why it was sent to the outlet but it looks genuine.

Getting a closeup of the creed may be almost impossible since it doesn't look as if the top opening is more than 4 or 5 inches wide - it's a very small bag, shorter than a standard DVD case. I would like to see at least a part of the creed stamp since the description says the creed is stamped on a patch, which is very possible since the bag probably doesn't have an inside back pocket.

That's not the original strap either - the 1992 catalogs that show the bag (called a Derby Bag) at the time it was released (not 1980 as the seller states) show only a single tubular strap, not a double, and the end clips are different. The catalog gives the strap length as 50 inches but the strap on the bag in the listing is a lot shorter. The seller lists the drop as 18 inches which means about a 35-inch strap, which may not be long enough to wear cross-body, so the strap has been changed. Other than that the bag looks genuine.

Thanks so much for the info, Hyacinth! Much appreciated!

Oh no, this is clearly fake with C's on the outside and inside (isn't that right?) and it's over $100 with 20+ bids and only 2 hours to go. How do we report fakes? is it too late to save someone from this auction?

Yes, it's fake.

On the right side of the page, under the seller ID and location info, there's a Report item button. Click on that and report as trademark, counterfeit.

Edited to add: The seller already sold this fake on July 18:

Based on the feedback left by the buyer, that buyer doesn't know how lucky she was!

Yes, very lucky!! And that bidder with 15 feedbacks bid a ton of times on both auctions - must be the seller bidding on their own auction - shill bidder (is that what they call it?) How can you see the bidder's full name, when it only shows part of their name?

I saw that bidder ( s***h) but I'm not sure that (in this case) it's obl0m shilling her own items.

IMO, it's a bidder who bids in minimum increments, only increasing her bid amount by the minimum that is required. I've seen lots of shill bidding and this doesn't look like it. She appears to be a newbie trying to become a reseller.

I have been appoached about buying this sophia. her are some pic's if you can help me out.
