I agree with BeenBurned, I don't think the bag your sister bought is genuine. The big problem is the placement of the Carriage emblem AND the first row of pleats. In every other bag listed for sale, the first row of pleats in the leather is under the Carriage, not above it. There is also the difference in the hangtags that BeenBurned mentioned. Even the letters in the Coach logo under the carriage are different compared to this one:

Here are the others listed for sale on Ebay - compare the details especially where the pleats in the leather begin to the one your sister bought:

Did you all notice the "receipt"? It says the bag is a "Julia Op Art" in b4/bx...but it should be Madison Gathered Leather Lindsey in b4/bx. The price is right, color is right, but that is about it.

This bag is bugging me...something about the gathers...but I am very very paranoid when it comes to gathered items.

Also...correct me if I am mistaken...but if it was purchased at a Premium Outlet...Keyword: OUTLET...it would not be full price.
Good catch. I saw the color code (BX for bordeaux) and the style number and completely missed the fact that the description was for the wrong style.

And this is another good catch. A boutique bag purchased at the outlet would have been 30% (minimum) off retail plus another 30% for the coupon.

This receipt is fake, as is the bag:

Please post a link to the online shop from which she bought this bag. The receipt may be authentic or it may be fake. (Receipts can be faked too.)

There are some very very close fakes of this style. Please wait for other opinions on this bag but the following are my observations. And if my suspicion is correct, this is scary.

1. The horse and carriage plaque is lower than I believe it should be
2. The lining color appears to be off
3. There's a problem with the hangtag(s)
4. The font on the creed appears to be more "squished" together than it should be

Here's a comp of the same bag, though it was made in the different month. Compare the differences.

What's also odd is that is seems to refer to a Julia Op Art Perry Tote. My sis bought one last year and it was around the $278-$298 range in fabric or leather. I don't recall there being a special edition version, but $598 seems high to me. Hers was style 14967 or 14968, I believe, so the description on the receipt doesn't match the style either.

Hi. Could someone help me authenticate? It's so hard to find vintage made in NYC bags at a reasonable price....

Thanks!

I'm not sure exactly what it is, though it's NOT a "Tablet Organizer Case".

It appears to be a "Convertible Clutch" which is style number 9635 and is NOT rare.

Do a "search" for Convertible Clutch or for style 9635.

Probably ok but the seller says she can't get a photo of the creed stamp so I can't be 100 percent sure.

BTW, the seller calls this a Convertible Clutch, which it's NOT. The bag DemRam commented on on post 5320 is a Convertible Clutch. This one is probably a Basic Bag.
