Thanks, I'd better go buy some more rubbing alcohol!

Do you know if the prairie bag was released in 1996-7 or is it an older style that has been released multiple times? This is the first time I've come across it, thanks again!

It's listed as "New" in the Holiday 1994 catalog, and is in all the catalogs through at least 1996. I didn't look for newer listings but I think it's been available at least through 1997.

Comments: Is this real?

It looks genuine, but it's NOT from the 1970s - not even close. It only looks older.

The serial number shows it was made in 2000, so it's not "vintage" either. It looks as if the leather has never been conditioned. There's also what looks like a thin line of verdigris (that bit of light green) beginning at the base of the turnlock in the second-to-last photo. That has to be taken care of immediately or it will damage the brass and can even spread to the rest of the brass hardware. It's in a hard spot to clean since it's right against the leather and whatever cleaner you use, even ketchup, might have an effect on the leather. If it's actually verdigris it's probably best to take off the turnlock to clean it.

Would appreciate help authenticating the following!
