Saw this bag in a fair here. It's a COACH MADISON GATHERED LEATHER SOPHIA SATCHEL. I dont know if its authentic or not. Its really a beautiful bag. Thanks for your help in advance. :smile1:

comments: i had only 12min to bid on this item ending soon, and i suspect it might not be authentic, but was willing to take the risk. i have two other similar bags, both made in italy, this is made in united states and the creed number is J8Y-4182 (its hard to read, so the seller sent me that info). but the J8Y prefix came up in my 'be careful' notes to myself. any thoughts? if it's fake, it gets demoted to 'gym bag'!!

I think those are the only colors they came in. They were made to go with the Chelsea Nubuc line of bags from late 2004 and early 2005, here just a few of them - Chelsea Nubuc Turnlock Small Hobo 9391 front and back, 9392 Large Hobo front and back, 9393 Tote. There was also a Ziparound Slim Wallet, a Messenger Bag but without the contrasting outside pocket, a Small Clip Hobo and a Turnlock Demi which may also have been a solid color.

The lining looks wrong. This is the way the lining should look in a Lexington bag. Black on black is hard to see, but notice the word Coach inside the plaque.

Wait for other opinions, but I don't think it's right.
