My only opinion is that I've never seen a creed that blurry...ever.

Also, the 3rd picture looks like a brass buckle but the holes in the strap look nickel (silver) colored.

Sorry, I can't help with this one.

Wait for other opinions.
I didn't even notice that. Seems like brass buckles and nickel straps are following me lately :)

The picture of the creed she sent me is very blurry but she wrote that the number is L5C-9755

Does the only picture in the auction show a bag tossed on the floor?:yucky:

It's probably an authentic "Pocket Purse", but it's good to see the creed. SO...if you intend to purchase, make sure you use a credit card so you are protected and then post good pictures here.

Comments: Is this caviar leather?

Caviar leather has a finer grain than the Sheridans' pebbled leather. AFAIK the only Coach leather that could be described as caviar leather is the leather on the mid-1990s Madison line. Madison bags usually had style numbers that start with -44xx and were made in Italy.

Comments: Is this caviar leather?

I have a green Glenwood Sheridan pebbled leather bag and two beechnut caviar leather Italian bags and I would NOT describe the Glenwood as caviar - but it is a very nice bag and a good size!

I took my beechnut caviar leather Madison Gracie to a cobbler and enquired about making a long strap to match the bag. He said "it would be impossible to match the skins." He said that the "dark spots on the tops of the bumps in the leather are actually precisely printed onto the leather to add contrast, depth and richness."

He went on to say that it is a very expensive and uncommon process and "impossible to successfully match." He advised me to live with the bag as a top handle because I could "spend a lot of money on a new strap and not be happy with the results."

Hope that helps!

It's a Sheridan Glenwood from 1994.

I have no idea about caviar leather, but the creed says "genuine full grain leather...specially treated to maintain a new appearance over time". To me...that's pebbled leather.

Thanks you guys! I LOVE the leather on my Carlyle and I'm always trying to find more bags with that leather!

Thanks you guys! I LOVE the leather on my Carlyle and I'm always trying to find more bags with that leather!

I have a Carlyle but it is black pebbled leather and I don't think that it has that "caviar" variation in pattern - but it sure is pretty! I saw your Carlyle reveal and that is one gorgeous bag; what an unusual color! I don't blame you for wanting to find more!

I sugest a Royalton, it is a nice-sized bag; similar in size and shape to a City Bag, good luck!
