Title: COACH Leather Shoulder Bag Cross Body~Sling Bag~Purse~RED ~AD...
Bonanza Seller: Atlantadeals
Link: http://www.bonanza.com/listings/COA...ss-Body-Sling-Bag-Purse-RED-ADR-9139/42970891

Same item on Ebay from the same seller:
Ebay seller: duluthdeals
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Leath...332?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item35b69ee514

Comments: I've never seen a creed with "this is a Coach product." Also, I thought the seller might have copied the prefix incorrectly, but it does appear to be ADR.

Opinions please? TIA.

My opinion is that the red bag is just a bad fake.

These 2 are confusing (same seller). It looks like the same photos, but the prices are different. Plus it's supposed to have that pesky "J8Y" prefix.

There is another Coach with "JB4" in the title but no picture of the creed.

:confused1:

The hangtag is too big although that doesn't prove much. But the Bellini Zip should have a Coach new York stamp at the top center and I'm not seeing one. The stitiching is bad, the serial number is bogus and there's no break between the 2 halves of the number, and the zipper pull looks wrong. Add the strange creed and I'd have to say Fake.

Check out the other bags in the "Cocktail" line, none of them have a similar creed or number:
http://www.ebay.com/dsc/i.html?_nkw...50&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313&LH_TitleDesc=1

The position of the creed stamp on the pocket isn't right either.

The 9035 bag may be ok, at least the codes in the serial don't contradict each other.

Thanks! I was kicking myself for not getting it, but the creed number (or at least, the way she wrote it) made me uncomfortable since it didn't match with other ones in the same style/color.

Don't ever assume that a seller has read or copied the serial number correctly. At least 5 to 10 percent of posted numbers probably have mistakes. But as BeenBurned said, we can't authenticate with just those photos and we wouldn't recommend that anyone buy a Coach without a clear photo of the creed and serial number if the bag's supposed to have one.

There is no number on this Coach Tag. Does that mean it is fake??

Not always, it depends on the size of the bag. This one probably is though, but I'd like another opinion. Can our other posters take a look at the word "detail" in the creed and tell me what the third letter is?
The bag in the listing looks fine. I've seen similar "not really swingpacks" without serial numbers in the past.

I can't read the creed or tell whether it's a T for the third letter but I think it's odd looking due to poor photography.

I just have a general question I was on Ebay this morning and I saw a navy blue Willis Bag - I don't have the number, but when I looked at the pictures I saw a red flag the zipper on the inside pocket had nylon teeth - I currently own a variety of the Classic collection, some of which do have the inside zipper pocket and I have never seen a nylon zipper in any of them. I have a binouclar bag, a rambler, a court, two city bags, two convertible clutches and a few others, none of htem have the nylon zipper. I know that they did use them on some of the light weight leather that they made, but I was curious about teh Willis bag. There is a note with the bag, because the tag is not the same shade of navy as the bag and she states that it is a replacement tag but the zipper ;made me question the bag. Thank you.

You only have a very small selection of older bags. Coach has used nylon zippers on a LOT of bags, AND over the years have also changed the standard zipper mix depending on the year and the color of the bag. Here's just an example of a few of the leather ones that are just sitting on the bed in my "handbag vault" a.k.a. the guest bedroom - right now, there are close to 100 more stored away

Green Willis 1996 - brass inside
Blue Willis 2004 AND Aubergine Willis 2005 - nylon inside
Patricia's Legacy 1996 - brass inside & outside
Legacy Soft Flap 2005 - nylon inside, none outside
Chelsea Flap late 1980s - brass inside, none outside
Corset Duffle 2003 - nylon inside, none outside
1994 Soho Whitney - nylon inside AND outside
1994 Sheridan Monticello - nylon inside, none outside
1993 Sheridan Richmond - nylon inside AND outside
1995 Madison Regis - brass outside, nylon inside
2011 Penelope Hippie - nickel front pocket, nylon inside
2011 Kristin Spectator Hobo - brass outside, nylon inside

And BTW, I've mentioned in several posts here and in Salearea's Guides on Ebay that Coach has used plastic - yes, i should have said nylon - zippers. Please search them out and read them.

Don't EVER judge every Coach based on just the half-dozen bags you're familiar with. And take any "Rules" you may have read in online Authenticity Guides and throw them in the trash - the one important Rule about Coach is that there are almost NO Rules. Coach does what they want, when they want.

I'll be sure to look at the creed (not tag...can you tell I'm new to this? lol) when I receive it. Thank you both very much. You are much appreciated!

Hi, I am looking at a few tonight.

Had these from last night and they ended. Can I still find out for my instincts:)

I found one in my house that I bought about 5 mos ago and just came across it. I can only find 1 other one, and none with this number.

Hi
Was wondering if this coach bag i bought is authentic.
heres the info

seller:BayStateOutfitters

Link to item:http://www.ebay.com/itm/270840169363?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Here's what the number says on the creed No. G1069-16050

Thankyou:smile1:
It's authentic.

Baystateoutfitters sells authentic but items often are store returns, overstock, shopworn items, etc. so you want to read her full descriptions and look at the pictures. The seller doesn't hide anything but the bags often have issues, most of which aren't dealbreakers (IMO) but you want to be aware.
