Is this Coach Signature Multicolor authentic?

I was fairly certain it was, but wanted to make sure. More and more, I have a nagging feeling it's not. There are a couple things I thought were a little off. I felt like the stitching on the Coach tag was maybe *slightly* off but maybe it's my imagination? I also feel like the bag slouches too much. Shouldn't a real Coach be a little stiffer?

Also, the hardware squeaks where it meets the leather.

Here are some pictures. I DO think if it's fake, it's a pretty darn good one. Would love opinions! And if you need different pictures or more angles, let me know. Thanks!

This link should bring you to five or six pictures.

And here are two more pics that show the coloring a little better.

I don't see any problems with the bag.

In the future, please use the posting format requested in the first post on the first page of the thread. We like to see where the item came from and it's helpful to see the seller's other items. (This is assuming it came from an online listing.)

I'm sorry. I actually didn't purchase it online---I bought it at a local used clothing boutique. Thanks for your reply! :-)

Hi all,

I am a newbie and cannot yet post new threads :-/. I have a question about buying bags on Ebay. Sometimes sellers list their items as "near mint" or "mint". What is considered "near mint" and what is considered "mint." I recently bought a coach bag from Ebay. It's authentic, but there are two small stains (not in very noticeable places) and there are also other signs of wear, yet the seller claimed on the listing that the bag was "near mint" (and she actually also said "MINT" in the title). When I messaged her about the inconsistency between the description and the actual bag, she responded by saying that i shouldn't expect a MINT bag at the price I paid and that if I wanted a bag in MINT condition, I should just go to Coach store.

How should I deal with this situation? Thanks!! (And sorry for posting in the wrong thread :()

Welcome to tPF! This thread might offer more help than the "authenticate this" one: http://forum.purseblog.com/ebay-for...nswer-thread-ebay-and-bonanza-etc-646884.html

"Mint" and various adjectives used to described used items are subjective terms and what might be "mint" to someone else might not be mint to you. Or "good condition" could be excellent to one person and only "fair" to another.

That's why sellers of used items should show lots of pictures and include full disclosure of any "issues" an item might have.

Please post the listing here so we can verify that it's authentic then you can post on the ebay thread for suggestions on how to handle the dispute.

Item: Coach Brown Zip Bag or Folder
Seller: Savers Thrift Store $8
Dimensions: 13” wide, 9” high, 1” deep

Comments: The bag has a heavy, industrial TALON zipper and the creed is different from my other Made in New York City bags. It reminds me of the Basic Bag but it is larger and has a wristlet strap.

Please authenticate and let me know any information you have about the bag. Thanks in advance for your help!

Here are some photos and I will post more with the next message:
