This is my first coach that I bought on ebay. I admit I dont know much about Coach so as soon as I seen the bag ( via skype as im away from home) was very happy with it however since been looking on ebay and noticed theres many fakes and am not sure if mine is one.

Everytime I google the name of bag and code it only comes up with replica websites in China, im so upset at the thought it may be a fake as at the moment am not even sure if its a real coach design.

Think the desigh is a 'Coach Chelsea Satchel Bag'
Store tag has information: F14017 SV/ bamboo

Came in Coach carrier bag from store. Zip marked YKK. Non of the hardware has coach on it. Coach stamp on front. Coach serial number inside on stamp.

I know its hard without more close up pictures and I can post some once I am home next week however for the moment im so upset at the thought of it being a fake so if anyone couldn please help me with anything else I can look for on bag to tell if authentic or not I'd appreciate it

Hi! I'm new here. I need help with authenticating this bag which I got last month. The leather feels like PVC and stiff. I do own another Sophia in Grey and the leather is soft and the pleats don't stick together like this one. The Sophias are so pretty that I had to get another one in a different color. Attached are the photos. I hope I did right. Do guide me if not. TIA

Hi. Welcome to tPF. Unfortunately, your pictures are too small to see detail. Please try to get bigger pictures and another including the horse and carriage logo.

If your pictures are too big to post as attachments, use a photo hosting service such as photobucket.

Was the bag purchased from ebay or another online site? Dear PF,

The Coach I'm questioning is the brown one on the far right. I'm sorry I don't have a closer shot of it.

It looks like the Madison Op Art Sateen top handle pouch but it's in brown. The coach website does not offer this model in brown but in khaki beige/brown, silver/plum and silver/gunmetal black/black. The craftsmanship was impeccable.

HOWEVER, it did not have the leather label with the Coach creed nor a serial number.

I thought all authentic Coach bags come with this authenticity label. Is it possible for an authentic bag to come without it?

I have this bag in my personal collection. It's called the Chelsea Convertible Turnlock Satchel (if I recall correctly) and the color name is bamboo. I don't see any red flags on the bag in the photos, although I agree with Hyacinth and BB that better pics (especially of the creed) are needed to be sure. With that said, the bag in the photos does look like my bag and according to the listing it has the same date/plant code and style number as my bag (K0926-F14017) which I purchased from the Coach Factory Store. It's a nice, sturdy, classic bag with great leather. Enjoy!

There's no way to tell if a bag is genuine just from a single photo. We need photos of the front & back, the inside, and the hardware and Carriage plaque if it has one.

And it's very possible for smaller Coach accessories such as Pouches, Swingpacks, Demis, newer Crossbodies, etc to not have creed patches or serial numbers and still be genuine. But without having a valid name or style number for yours or even any measurements it's almost impossible to even know what style it's supposed to be. It MAY be a Pouch but without more information we can't authenticate and we NEVER recommend that anyone bid or buy a highly-faked brand like Coach from just one small photo.

BTW, the Coach website only shows styles that are currently available, and styles can be retired after just a few months. Please never assume that because something isn't on the current website, it must be fake!

Also, get the name "authenticity label" out of your head. There's no such thing, and just having a patch inside doesn't prove anything is authentic. Please stop reading online "authenticity Guides" because they're LOADED with mistakes, misinformation, and outright LIES and are the worst possible sources for anyone trying to determine authenticity.
