Wow thank you! I was way off, I was thinking Sutton and 1980s! I love the unusual closure on the front pocket!

No, the Sutton Zip didn't have any outside slip pockets and was from the late 1990s.

Thanks for the kind words :smile1:

I'm going to blow my own horn here for a bit because I work hard at what I do and think I'm entitled to a little horn-blowing - all my Guides and the information I post is from actual research, NOT from copying anyone else's information. That's why I have such enormous contempt for almost all internet authenticity guides, almost all of them are just Copy&Paste ripoffs of something the writer read somewhere else. Maybe 5 percent are the result of actual study and research.

FYI, dear, while you deserve to toot your own horn, you don't really need to. Anybody with eyes and ears can tell that you ladies are professionals, and that includes knowing your craft. Keep up the good work, ladies. :salute:

Thank you! :cutesy:

Can you authenticate please. This was an eBay purchase. Let me know if you need additional pictures.

The difference in the shade of green is shown in the first picture. Is that caused by fading or was this original?

Thank you so much.

Thanks, thats what I thought :crybaby:
I should have asked for more photos (close up) before buying. The seller stated 'no returns', so I guess I'll find out how good *bay's buyer protection works!

Again, thank you so much for your quick assessment.

Silver :-)
You might still try to get a refund from the seller.

Be sure to let ebay/paypal know via the dispute that the listing was removed because it's counterfeit.

The bag is authentic.

Without knowing the history of the bag, it's hard to say how the color might have faded. Perhaps it was in a sunny window of a consignment or thrift.

Of the other six or so listed on Ebay it looks like maybe 2 others, dark green and burgundy, have some differences. The leather part under the buckle that holds the bottom half of the magnetic snap looks like it may be a different texture leather than the "burnished" main part of the bag. The strap looks darker too. It's probably just the way that type of leather ages.

Thank you both so much. You are awesome. Keep up the good fight. :D
