Okay, I was able to upload a photo of the creed which seems odd to me because there is no underscore on the "o". Oh, and it says made in Thailand. I was told by Coach that they did make them in Thailand at some point, but just couldn't tell me when.

Thank you for anyone willing to help.

Melissa :)

So Coach is finally admitting that they did make bags in Thailand? Good, I was starting to think that I was the only person who believed it.

And yes, it's genuine. From the creeds I've examined, Coach manufactured in Thailand between about 2000 and 2003, and all seem to have been from the Business and Travel collection, like this one.

Thank you also!!! Yes, everyone I spoke with at Coach said that they made them in Thailand, but didn't give me the exact dates. It gets so frustrating when the web is filled with websites saying that Thailand is fake. I guess it would just depend on the year and other factors. It is almost made better than my newer Coach bags. Go figure :)

Thus the reason for Hyacinth's signature:

Ignore any "Rules" you find in those useless online Authenticity Guides, they're almost ALL wrong - outdated, only true for a few styles, partly true only for a few years, or were never true in the first place, including the ridiculous YKK Zipper Rule. YKK zippers on a Coach DON'T prove it's genuine. Coach has used at least FIVE different brands of zippers, anyone can buy genuine YKK zippers, and many fakes have fake YKK zippers. How hard is it to fake a zipper?

Just to follow up - here's a reply that I posted back in August on the same subject of Thai creeds, I can't find the original post but the reply quotes it in full:

Unfortunately all the nonsense claiming Coach was never in Thailand is due to one well-meaning and USUALLY reliable Ebay member who got some incorrect information and posted it in an Ebay guide. And of ALL the people who read it, apparently I was the first one to actually research the subject by looking for and analyzing Thai-creed bags and serial numbers and the first one to post publicly that Coach had made bags in Thailand.

I'm going to blow my own horn here for a bit because I work hard at what I do and think I'm entitled to a little horn-blowing - all my Guides and the information I post is from actual research, NOT from copying anyone else's information. That's why I have such enormous contempt for almost all internet authenticity guides, almost all of them are just Copy&Paste ripoffs of something the writer read somewhere else. Maybe 5 percent are the result of actual study and research.

Yes, "that" particular guide was copied over and over and over again. The lady I spoke with at Coach listed a huge list of countries that they have made their bags in. I really do appreciate your attention to detail because other wise I might have sent back a beautiful bag for no good reason. I completely believed the seller, but just never have seen these markings nor could I find a photo of them online.

Thank you again..... and go ahead and toot your horn because your good :)

:roflmfao: No they didn't, but I could have gotten lucky and picked a smart one.

Help! Does Coach make samples like this? When this bag first came out, I bought it sight unseen and it didn't have the roses on it (but it SHOULD have, as in the DD at the time, which they changed.)

Authentic Coach Poppy Tartan Sequin Spotlight XL Handbag
nicolina9

Any info about this is much appreciated...I do not plan on buying it, but still.

Interesting listing. Some of the details look very accurate and others are odd. (Understand that I've never seen a prototype and have no idea what they do with them afterwards.

I've never seen that bag with flowers but that isn't necessarily a red flag.

But the details I question are:
1. Blank patch without creed imprint
2. Tag with invalid style number
3. Tag with invalid UPC code
4. Tag with handwritten style number for the style that was actually produced
5. Lining is different color than the others without the flower

If "S" is supposed to indicate that it's a sample, would they just paint it on?

If this is a bag that is a prototype, would they put the style number for the similar style that was made on it?

I have no idea whether this is authentic or not.

Thanks for looking over my medium Ergo Hobo!
You're welcome.

Comments: Hi guys, does this look real? becos of the lightings and the condition of the bag. it doesnt look brand new and I cant tell if its authentic. Thanks in advance! :)
Looks okay.

Do not buy from signaturehub_07. The bag in question is fake as are all the completed listings.

In fact, signaturehub_07 got a negative feedback from a buyer of a fake Chanel (described as "Ch@nel.") Obviously, this crook knows the items are fake.

Please report all this seller's items.

Thank you very much for the help... she was insisting that the item is authentic and been calling me and idiot. Thanks Thanks so much!

I'm glad you asked first. As BeenBurned suggested, please report the seller's fakes to Ebay.ph if you can. They usually don't pay much attention to reports coming from Ebay US members.

Here are the curent and Completed numbers including the six people she's already ripped off with her fake "Coaches".
