Thank you I found out that my willis is authentic. Thank you.
May I ask who and where they were able to authenticate this bag based on that picture of the creed?
I agree hyacynth I think it is a 1990s bag. geez no need to be rude.
Hyacinth wasn't being rude. She was being straightforward.

I posted photos I posted the creed # what more can I do! It is a black heavy glove leather and looks exactly like the pics of the other ladies and the creed is exactly the same. Sorry but that is all I have and I will use the bag because since I am unable to get help here and believe the bag to be real than that is all that matters. I know one thing 100% it is NOT a fake.
If you're comfortable with the bag, that's fine, but looking like another bag doesn't prove anything. (If fake, it only proves that the counterfeiters did their homework and produced a fairly credible fake.)

If you really want to know whether your bag is authentic or not, may I make another suggestion for getting a better picture? (I hope you don't consider constructive criticism and suggestions as rude.)

Sometimes natural daylight is helpful or even bright kitchen lighting for taking pictures.

Use a pencil, wooden kitchen spoon or something else that will allow you to prop the pencil/utensil into the open bag to get a decent picture.

With the macro function and flash, try to get a clear pic of the full creed with serial number. It has also been suggested that talcum powder put lightly on the embossed imprint might make it easier to read.

Sometimes, standing the bag up and taking the picture while looking down into the bag is helpful.
also I followed the process as much as I could and as I said most of these authentications are ebay auctions correct? I did not pay for my bag and did not get it off Ebay so what would the rest of the process be? If I was able to get a good pic of the creed it would be identical to the PIC that I directed you to. So tell me, what other info can i give you that I haven't and also how do you know 100% from a pic and if I say my pics of the creed are identical how can you say it is a fake when you told the other lady hers looks good? My creed and her creed as well as the pics I posted and her pics are identical to my Willis. I am not new to Coach just because I don't post here often. XXXXunnecessary rudeness and name calling is not allowed
No one criticised you for not posting in the requested format. The only criticism (if you choose to call it that) is that you're using other listings for comparison and calling Coach for information on the bag, neither of which is going to be 100% accurate.

Understand that there are some scary "good" fakes out there of Willis bags, and until the most minute details are scrutinized, even the most seasoned expert can be fooled. (In fact, there was a post on the ebay purse board a while back where one of the most expert Coach authenticators was fooled by a fake Coach willis that she'd owned.)

XXXX. You certainly are welcome to pay CarolDiva for paid authentications.

Understand, thought that she's not as expert as some of the posters here plus, she'd need much better pictures of the creed and other parts of the bag than you've been able to post.

Edited to add: If you plan to resell it, please do not list that bag anywhere until you've gotten 100% assurance that it's authentic. It's against the law to sell any item that has not been authenticated. And at this point, your bag has not been deemed authentic yet.

My creed and all the pics are exactly like this user's posting. except mine has no marks dings or flaws. She has pics of her creed and bag on her posting

F4C-9927 and Hyacynth you posted back to her in your #10929 post that the bag looked good. Thank you for your help! Mine was not on an ebay auction I actually got it at our community clothing closet free!
Please post a link to the posts you're referencing. I can't find them and this thread doesn't have anywhere close to 11,000 posts.

IXXXXX i cannot get good enough pics s I find identical pics and give as much info I can but apparently still not following the process...lol...this bag is not from ebay or any auction. I got it free at a thrift store.

There are two things that don't seem right. One is that it says it is made in Thailand. I called Coach and they have manufactured in Thailand around that time, but the creed number is No. instead of the No(underscore).

What do I do?

Thank you
Welcome to tPF.

The bag in the listing looks okay so far (based on the single picture shown) but in order to authenticate it, we need to see more pictures.

Are you the winner and did you already receive the bag? (I'm making an assumption based on your knowledge of what the creed looks like and what it says because there's no picture of it in the listing.

If you have a photo, please post it.

In the future, please use the format requested in the first post of the thread for your requests:

I apologize as I came to this forum in the middle of the thread.

Item: Coach signature satchel

Comments:
I just noticed some irregularities and am wondering if it is a real Coach purse. I have many other Coach purses but this one is older than my other ones so I have no idea.

These are photos that she took. I am still trying to upload the photo of the creed.

Okay, I was able to upload a photo of the creed which seems odd to me because there is no underscore on the "o". Oh, and it says made in Thailand. I was told by Coach that they did make them in Thailand at some point, but just couldn't tell me when.

Thank you for anyone willing to help.

Melissa :)

It's authentic.

ETA: Although I can't find any creed photos in my own library of pictures with "No." as your bag shows it, there's nothing that raises a red flag.

I betting that it might have something to do with the bag being made in Thailand and perhaps they weren't aware of Coach's typical way of doing the number.

Please wait for other opinions.

Is the creed okay? I trust this forum much more than Google, but if you type in Thailand and Coach someone put out there that it is fake. Also there isn't an underscore on the "o" which I haven't seen on a real one before.
This post might answer some questions and offer a bit of consolation: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-sh...enticity-questions-94198-38.html#post18945918

This is the pertinent part:

Coach was also expanding its factory base outside the US and in the 1990s and early 2000s added handbag plants in Puerto Rico, Italy, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Hungary, Turkey, Mexico, China and possibly Thailand. Coach's small accessories were made in even more countries including Spain. (Recently Coach has also begun making bags in Vietnam and India).

Along with expanding their plants, the serial numbers and creeds have expanded as well. Formats, designs, the number of digits in the serial numbers and the wording and styles of the creeds themselves change
constantly so extreme care has to be used when trying to authenticate a bag based on the creed - leave creed analysis to the experts.
