Genuine Durham Mini Bag style 4211 from the 1992 Sheridan line. Note that it has an unusual "slot and stud" closure instead of the regular turnlock - that slot style was common on 1992 Sheridans.

Any bag you find on Etsy will be listed as vintage because their rules state that mass-produced items for sale on their site must be vintage or a certain number of years old, so even almost-new bags are called vintage. Just dont expect to get a vintage item just because the word is in the listing.

Serial numbers for the more recent (post-1994) aren't unique. The same style bags that were made at the same time and in the same plant will have the same number.

I did wonder about that but then I read more information on the numbers in your threads.
I even learned that the new bag that I bought at an Outlet store was made exclusively for an Outlet. It has an "F" in front of the style number.

I also wanted to say "thank you" because I was worried that my husband spent too much money & bought a fake. I was just learning about Coach and didn't know the difference. I've never seen a bag like mine and couldn't find any information on it until I came across this Purse Blog.

Thank you. That was the reason I had to authenticate it first! I actually like that style better than the turnlock.
